Calgary Flames vs NJ Devils 7PM at the Rock! Lets bounce back from a terrible 7-2 loss on the Island, and get back to our winning ways.

Per Devils.NHL.com

Led by two of the league's top goaltenders, the Devils and Calgary Flames are near the top of their respective conferences and hoping to make a run in the playoffs.

While Martin Brodeur and Calgary's Miikka Kiprusoff have combined to win the last five Vezina Trophies, both are coming off very uncharacteristic performances.

Brodeur and Kiprusoff are expected to be in net tonight as they try to bounce back from one of their worst starts of the season when the Devils host the Flames (7 p.m., MSG Plus 2, WFAN 660 AM).

Well, what do we have here? :)

Lets Go Rupp!!!! :D

http://njmg.typepad.com/devilsblog/2009/03...l-sit.html#more

Sutter said after Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Islanders that the team was not "physically involved" and physical play is something Rupp can bring, but it didn't sound like that was part of Sutter's decision-making process.

"I just think he's been out for a while now," Sutter said. "Hopefully, there's another understanding here that he needed to know what we expect of him and it's time to get him back in. But he's got to bring that (physical play)."

LGD

BTW, is there anyway to figure out how many games the devils must combine/have to clinch a playoff spot? and or divison?

sure the math is easy. A Playoff spot means you have to eliminate 7 other teams in the conference.

so you have to figure out everyones max points by using their games remaining X 2.

then add that to their current points. If Devs are currently ahead of 7 other teams they're in !

Sorta the same for the Division, but you have to eliminate the 4 other teams instead of 7 in the conference

This is going to be a good match up between two teams that are one of the best in their conferences. Calgary has struggled as of late and on this EC road trip where they are 1-3 so far. They lost on Sunday to Atlanta 5-2 and they will be looking to bounce back with a win. New Jersey again played one of their worst games of the season on Saturday, losing for the second time to the Islanders getting embarrassed 7-3 and was Brodeur's first loss (4-1-0) since coming back from his bicept tendon injury. Brodeur was also pulled for the 3rd period in that game. New Jersey and Brodeur look to bounce back with a win on home ice, where they have won their last 7-games @ the Prudential Center. Looking forward to this game with Brodeur vs. Kipprusoff.

Brodeur and the Devils to bounce back tonight and get that win to keep the home winning streak going @ 8-games in a row.

Get the win Devils and get er done! :koolaid:

:evil:LETS GO DEVILS!!!!

Brodeur's 6th game back (4-1-0) and looking for win #549.
