The four-game losing streak matches their longest of the season (Nov. 8-14) and the schedule doesn't get any easier with four games in the next six nights, three of them on the road. "It doesn't really matter who we play right now," goalie Martin Brodeur insisted. "We just want to play well and get out of this as quick as possible so we can finish the season on a good note." Curiously, the Devils were given Sunday off. Coach Brent Sutter said the team looked tired in the third period of Saturday night's 2-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes and he suspected his players needed rest more than practice.
