Christopher_watts31_ls
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=273307 A source has told TSN that Danton, who spent parts of three seasons playing for the St. Louis Blues and New Jersey Devils, is now seriously considering a return to professional hockey. In 87 career NHL games, the 28-year old has nine goals and five assists while picking up 182 penalty minutes. He was the Devils fifth round pick, 135th overall in the 2000 NHL Entry draft. Now we'll have to install bullet proof penalty boxes.
Kulags
Not sure if it would be worse to compete against a nut who's been to jail or share a locker room with them...

BulletToothTony
If he does play pro hockey again, it very likely won't be in the U.S. The chances of Danton being granted a U.S. work visa are practically nil.
ThreeCups
I liked him in his brief time here. All those stories about him and that guy Frost were crazy....

RowdyFan42
In other news, Glen Sather has already contacted Mr. Danton's agent... Excellent. Danton and Avery can be happy together... in more ways than one. Speaking of ol' Mikey's agent, is he still under Frost's influence?

Check out this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Frost_(sports_agent) The part towards the end about the credit cards makes me think so, they just might be a couple... Neutral Zone Trap
Lou should sign him. Keep him in the minors and only call him up when we play the blowhards. Danton would kill #16 of the NYR. End his career anyway.
Rock
This from SLAM: http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Columnists/Simmo...976541-sun.html Danton faces daunting return A number of National Hockey League general managers quizzed yesterday were hesitant to offer anything optimistic about Danton's chances of having a future in pro hockey. "We would have no interest in signing him," said Lou Lamoriello, general manager of the New Jersey Devils, who once employed Danton. "It's not something we would consider," said Ken Holland, general manager of the Detroit Red Wings. "He's not what we'd be looking for," said Doug Risebrough, general manager of the Minnesota Wild. "I wish him well," said Larry Pleau, general manager of the St. Louis Blues, Danton's former team. "It's really going to be up to Danton," Lamoriello said. "He's going to have to show someone how much he wants it. Whether that means going to the Eastern League or wherever to start over. "But whatever hindered him in the past, people are going to have to be convinced that that's gone." Holland described Danton as a "spare part" player. "It's easy to find spare parts," Holland said. "Who wants one that comes with baggage?"
