Nationally known TV ad pitchman Billy Mays, 50, was found dead this morning in his Tampa home, the Tampa Police Department reported.

Mays was found unresponsive by his wife and the Tampa Fire Rescue pronounced him dead at 7:45 a.m., the report said.

There were no signs of forced entry to the residence and no foul play is suspected, police said.

Billy Mays (no longer) here! :evilcry:

It's a sad world when ShamWow Vince outlives Billy Mays.

Maybe he hit his head if the plane landed hard, kinda like the same situation with the girl who got hit with the puck and died a few years ago, she appeared to be fine at the time as well.

Something like that happened to Natasha Richardson too.

Billy redefined the 30 second product pitch.. From a marketing standpoint he was excellent in the way he was loud and always moving to entice customers.. Can't say I'll miss his commercials though as his Jedi mind tricks didn't work on me

Now Vince, the Sham-Wow/Slap Chop guy, is the new king of the 30 second pitch
