Exclusive: Conservative group offers to sell endorsement for $2M

The American Conservative Union asked FedEx for a check for $2 million to $3 million in return for the groups endorsement in a bitter legislative dispute, then flipped and sided with UPS after FedEx refused to pay.

Nice to see there are lobbyists out there that stick to their convictions...

Any outrqae that Barry promised no more lobbyists, then reneged?

Or is it only selectively for the right?

This story has nothing to do w/ the lobbying of the White House. It has to do w/ a lawsuit between UPS and FedEx, and the conservative group asked for $2m to support FedEx. Obama has NO control whatsoever over this.

Do you comprehend the things you read?

Where did JL say this lobbying issue and Obama go together? It seems to me he was wondering why this lobbying issue was a big deal while he didn't care that Obama went back on his promises about lobbyists.

This article seems silly anyway. Yes, this lobbying group wants to be paid to do work on behalf of whichever side it is going to lobby for. That's sort of how lobbying works.

Except we already had a thread about that issue when it was relevant and Obama got the criticism for breaking his campaign promise that he deserved. So Leeds suggestion of hypocrisy that there was not outrage over Obama hiring a few former lobbyists is unfounded.
