So he crammed for the citizenship test as if it were the scouting report for a Stanley Cup playoff game. He brought practice quizzes on the team plane and stumped his American teammates. He used an audio primer the night before with the help of his oldest son.

It's easier crossing the border as a dual citizen. Going into Canada I'm Canadian and coming back to the US I'm American. It doesn't help as much as it used to but it still seems to help a little.

do we really have bring last 80 seconds left into this i want to forget about that.

Unfortunately, he won't get to live that down, even if it wasn't totally his fault.

No, but becoming an American citizen does affect taxes.

The difference in taxation of resident aliens and US citizens is minimal, if any.
