Marshall
Hows Tedenby been? still langusihing on his reserve squad, or was it the senior squad's 4th line? I've seen a handful of games with him, and when he gets icetime it's not on the top two lines, nor on the PP. It's not so much about him, as it is with HV71 having a good top 6 and their PP is lights out, so there's no need to shake things up. The thing that bothers me A LOT is that I think he'll get annihilated when he gets over here. He's small, nifty and quick but he has to keep his head up. Open-ice hitting is virtually non-existent here, and thus headshots are rare, but he'll get flattened within a week if he doesn't learn to keep his head up. Saw him play yesterday, and he was the usual whirlwind in the offensive zone. He didn't create much (it seems to go forecheck->win puck->deke entire team->lose balance and puck), but he plays with a lot of energy and was good on the forecheck. Don't know if he still has a nose for the net like he used to, but what I liked last year was that, as far as kids go, he was clutch in the playoffs. All things considered, I think Tedenby-Josefson-Bergfors could turn into a good, balanced line. The only ingredients missing are size and grit, but I guess you can't have it all. Thanks for the nice report. Have you seen Josefson this year? Any comments on him?
Marshall
Yes, I've seen some games. What's bothering is that he plays out of position. They've stuck him on the right wing, and we drafted him as a center. He played on a line with Kruger (LW, PPG player, will be in WJC) and they had some nice chemistry in the pre-season and the first couple of weeks in the season. I don't know what lines he plays on, but I would guess 3rd and no PP. It's a bit hard to say much about him, as it's not his "natural" position from our perspective. We'll see come WJC, I guess. maxpower
I hate to be a naysayer but I thin he's been a little lucky so far. His goal count is better than his play. I'll take it, however. I don't really disagree, he has his moments both ways. but puckluck isn't a negative quality. he seems to be able to be at the right place at the right time. if it keeps happening, it ceases to be luck. I mean, look at Zharkov today, he played a nice well-rounded game, everywhere except around the net, he was just a total sh!tshow. got pushed around, couldn't keep his stick on the ice, and wasn't floating in and out, he's too small to be in front all the time. it wouldn't have gone like that with Bergfors, on one of those plays with Rolston and Elias, he would have found himself in a spot where Elias could get him something, instead of giving him little option, other than banking the puck off of him. Josefson started off on the 1st line for about 15 games, he was getting both PP and PK time to start, but now he is back down bouncing about between the 2nd and 3rd lines. Marshall
That makes sense, IIRC he got most his points early in the season.
