The New Three's Company....Starring...

The 2 frat guys (played by Zach Parise and Petr Vrana) and the burned out stoner kid (Ivan Khomutov.) The part of Mr. Roper will be played by Lou Lams. Watch as these 3 crazy kids turn Lou's world upside down. :joker:

Zach Parise - May have been the best pick of the 1st round even a year after the draft. His MVP performence at the WJC and being the Hobey Baker finalist clearly places him as the future of US hockey and of the New Jersey Devils system. Next year he should be a lock for the Devils roster. I expect his allround game to make him an instant favorite with Burns on the Devils. He may even be placed with Friesen on the 2nd line depending who comes back.

Petr Vrana - His stock dropped alot this year due to a serious shoulder injury and the fact that he played on one of the worst junior teams in the nation. He missed the WJC due to the same injury. Vrana will hope to rebound with a strong Halifax Mooseheads team next year. Being the youngest euro captain in teams history is a plus. This will be a big year for Vrana. We can only hope his shoulder heals 100% and he builds on from his great rookie year.

Ivan Khomutov - I know the stats don't jump out and say wow but he with Hunter, Khomutov has developed excellent defensive skills. He is being used on the 3rd/4th line all year on a very deep London Knights team and also used in the PK role which he has excelled at. Many London fans are actually mad that the Hunters aren't giving him more ice time in the playoffs. Khomutov is also useing his size well. Expect him to be given a larger role offensivly next year with London on the 2nd line. Khomutov looks alot like Antropov for the Leafs, very good news.

Zach Tarkir - Had a very rough first season in college hockey. He took alot of bad penalties, didn't put up many points and was a huge minus all year. Sarge could probably give a little better profile of him. He will really want to improve on last years season. A poor pick considering the depth of this draft. I hope Lou and Conte see something different from whatI seen.

Jason Smith - Being a backup he only played a handfull of games, he was not very strong early on but in his last two starts he was decent. Probably many other goaltenders we could have drafted ahead of him with better potential. Conte has had luck with late round goaltender picks though

Joey Tenute - Great pick by Lou, I have seen many Sarnia fans compare Tenute to Darcy Tucker of the Leafs. He is a high energy player who will hit anything. He has a good offensive touch also. He should be in Albany next year to join a young team with loads of potential.

Arseny Bondarev - I have searched a ton for anything on this guy but he has seemed to disapeared from all hockey leagues. Nobody who follows russian hockey knows where he is at. Has good speed, thats about it.
