Greg just posted this on twitter:

@wyshynki Versus/DirecTV war is over. Back on Channel 603 today.

Edit: Article on Puck Daddy: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Versus-DirecTV-deal-done-satellite-fans-get-th?urn=nhl,228103

And I have it back, channel 603. Same tier as before, so it's not costing extra. What timing! I can watch the Devils game tonight after all! :koolaid:

This made my night. I was cursing Versus then found this info here, made me very happy

It's direct TV who needs to be cursed out. I don't know why anybody subscribes to that second rate (non) "provider"

Satellite blows anyway, get cable, it pisses over any satellite system.......and then some.

So nice to finally have this back before the playoffs. DTV had just sent us a promo e-mail about free showtime & we were going to reply to them to stuff showtime & get back Versus or we're gone for the playoffs. It must've been about 15 minutes later we found out it was back.

Very happy.boogie.gif

It's called Sunday Ticket. If you're not a football fan, you wouldn't understand. And it blows the sh!t out of cable. It's not even close. Cable will never be an option under any roof I live under ever again.

Dammit, I could have watched the game yesterday!? I saw it was on VS and didn't even bother to check. Oh well.

Cable around here does not offer Center Ice or I would have gotten it. With that said, I have nothing against satellite, never had any problems with DISH (well other than ridiculous pricing) or DirecTV.

That surprises me Sammy, I'm with TWC and they always have the center ice package. I've subscribed to CI for nearly a decade.

I'm from Texas sir, therefore = Football fan. The Cowboys games are mostly on Fox and sometimes on CBS (regular channels) I don't give a fvck about "NY" teams (or are they NJ football teams :noclue: )

I like the NFL as much as the next guy but I won't buy satellite just to watch some meaningless game between the Steelers and Patriots ( where there is about as much intensity as a funeral) that fixture just dosent cut it down here, Maybe you Northerners "wouldn't understand"

I'm more of a college football fan anyway (as is much of the South)

Most players in the NFL Come from the South-check (and baseball players-MLB)

No real college football programs in the Northeast-Check (Boston College-Syracuse-Rutgers, jeez, TX and other Southern highschool programs would kick their ass)

No diss here MD, it's just the way it is.

Football is king in TX (and the South as a whole-college) then baseball. Then believe it or not, Ice Hockey (In TX) Basketball is behind Hockey round my area.

Did you know Brian Leetch is from Corpus Christi (TX) ?

My bad dude, didn't realize you were a Texas guy. I'm sure you can understand that the main reason I have the dish is because I'm a Dolphins fan from Jersey. I got it back in the 2004 season, after I grew tired of going to a bar week after week, while spending money on food and beer every time- it was getting expensive, and I wanted to have the luxury of watching not only my team, but ANY game I wanted in the comfort of my living room. I might not have been so inclined if I didn't root for an out of market team, ya know? And to answer your question- yes, I knew Leetch was from Corpus Christi. :P
