Im gonna do the bar crawl today but was thinking about bringing a backpack. What can I do with it at the game? Should I not bother bringing it?

I wouldn't bother, you're just going to draw unneeded attention to yourself, which - judging by your other thread - is the one thing you don't need.

I doubt you'll have a problem getting into the Rock tonight even after being "banned" but you don't wanna go drawing attention to yourself either.

I've taken mine in. They look in it...I had some books and a hoodie, but you can bring it in. Don't have a huge camera or a gun and you should be fine.

If they expect commuters to be able to go to games, they should definitely allow backpacks and briefcases.

What he said. I've brought one before (and may again tonight) and I've yet the have a problem. They just check it like the do the purses and stuff. The biggest problem you should have is trying to shove it under your seat if it's a packed house.

Well it looks like I cant even go to the game now, unless I just ignore it and go anyway.

Meh, I always go to games right from work, hence I always have either a laptop case or my over the shoulder bag, and it's not that big of a deal. It's only a pain when they have one line for bags only and you've been standing in another line the whole time. Generally, though, for divisional games, every line has a bag checker. Just walk up, open the bag, they root through it for 30 seconds and they let you in. Not a huge deal, unless you're carrying food, bottled water or hand grenades.

When I was 10 we used to smuggle a beer in for my Dad, along with some popcorn, into the game...this would be in like '90. Worked for about 3 years, security would look in the top of the backpack, see popcorn, and waive us through. Then one day one security guard was smart enough to tap the bottom of the backpack as well and then there was no more smuggling in the backpack.

I should think a backpack is fine, women bring purses. Just go through the same security look through that they do.

Edit: Really screwed up the year listed.
