Rumor has it LA is on the phone again...

Here's the original layout of the offer KOVY/Grossman turned down from Lombardi & the Kings:

For those who don’t quite see how the Kings' 13 year - $85 million, contract could make Kovy happy, the cap hit was only $6.5 million a year, breakout of the offer:

Year - Salary- Age

1 – $9 mil (Age 27)

2 – $9 mil

3 – $9 mil

4 – $9 mil

5 – $9 mil

6 – $8 mil (Age 32)

7 – $8 mil

8 – $7 mil (Age 34)

9 – $6 mil

10 – $4 mil

11 – $3 mil (Age 37)

and where did you get this lovely info from considering DL refused to comment on specifics?

Doubt it means anything, but tsn.ca/nhl has the headline "Report: Kovalchuk to sign seven-year, $60M deal with Devils" at the top again. This is the article from yesterday based on the NY Post report, but earlier in the day it was much further down the list. They just raised it to the #1 spot.

It's the same thing as yesterday, moving it up and down. Same article, same source (NYP), doesn't mean anything.

no, they didn't do that. that spot is #4 on the queue - the top 3 are the ones with accompanying pictures.
