Sorry for the confusion on Kovalchuk; new deal 17 years at slightly more than $100 million in total. $150 million represents total earnings. half a minute ago via web

Per TG,

Some of you have been asking whether MSG Plus or any of the other MSG networks will be carrying the Kovalchuk press conference live Tuesday (it starts at 1 p.m.). They will no be carrying it live, but will post the video of the news conference on MSG.com along with interviews by Steve Cangialosi later in the afternoon.

But if the Rangers signed him I'm sure they would do the same. :argh:

Are you suggesting we make a Rolston Trade pending thread?

Depends. Can you start the thread before it happens?

TG:

Still, Rolston said he expects to be part of the Devils in 2010-11, “at this point, for sure.”

Remember when Lemaire said something like that?

One more time for the cap dense (like me), if we're paying him over 17 years, and he decides to retire after 10, we keep paying him his salary but the cap hit for retired players disappears? All that salary the Devils continue to pay is just money shelled out and doesn't count against the cap, right?
