SueNJ97
Well, there was that "The Bertuzzi" thing that some guy in Vancouver came up with last season. I think NHL 2Nite played it one night.
Weekes Head
I could tell you the songs they play at CAA, if that helps at all.
IAmCanadian27
There's "Headstrong" by Trapt that was on the 2003 Stanley Cup Champions video. It's not new, but "Runnin' with the Devil" by Van Halen is one of my favorites that you sometimes hear at games. The song that goes "hey!" a lot after the Devils score is called "Rock and Roll part 2" by Gary Glitter and the one that goes "woo hoo" a lot is "Song 2" by Blur. At the CAA, they play the Mission Impossible theme song usually before they go on the PK. Of course, "We Are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You" by Queen. dallasdevil15
There are a few songs by Heavy Eric who wrote them about the canucks. I really like the songs even if I'm not a big fan of the Canucks. "Here comes Nazzy", "The Playoff Push", "The Todd Bertuzzi Song", and last thing I heard was he was working on a song for Cloutier. LizDevil30
I know this is not at all what you mean, but I'll take the opportunity to be a proud momma. My kids took liberties with the song, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and changed the words to fit the Devils. I thought they did a darn good job and emailed it to Matt and The Maven and well during the second intermission of the Devils/Flyers game which the Devs blanked them, Matt read my email about the song. Matt and Stan each sang a line! Anyway we thought it was way cool. We didn't get Lucky Duck, much to Matt's open disapproval, he really liked the song he said. I guess other folks did too, because the next game, Stan said that he was told the song should have won and he said that whoever sent in the song should email him with their address and he would send a prize. Which to date, we haven't received. Well without further ado, here is the song: Take me out to the arena Take me out to the crowd Buy me a soda and popcorn I'll be cheering when they blow the horn 'Cause it's root, root, root for the Devils If they don't win it's a shame 'Cause it's shoot, score Great save by Brodeur At the hockey game!
devilsfan26
There's "Me Like Hockey" by the Arrogant Worms, which is my personal favorite. Never heard it at a game, but it has to do with hockey and it's pretty funny, too.

If you dont know it, you should. read the lyrics below...its great. second is the opening line from "Boat drinks" from Jimmy Buffett. the lyrics to follow lyrics to "Hit Somebody" Hit somebody... He was born in Big Beaver by the borderline He started playing hockey by the time he was nine His dad took the hose and froze the back yard And Little Buddy dreamed he was Rocket Richard He grew up big and he grew up tough He saw himself scoring for the Wings or Canucks But he wasn't that good with a puck Buddy's real talent was beating people up His heart wasn't in it but the crowd ate it up Through pee-wee's and juniors, midgets and mites He must have racked up more than three hundred fights A scout from the flames came down from Saskatoon Said, "There's always room on our team for a goon Son, we've always got room for a goon" There were Swedes to the left of him Russians to the right A Czech at the blue line looking for a fight Brains over brawn--that might work for you But what's a Canadian farm boy to do What else can a farm boy from Canada to do But what's a Canadian farm boy to do What else can a farm boy from Canada to do Hit somebody! was what the crowd roared When Buddy the goon came over the boards "Coach," he'd say, "I wanna score goals" The coach said, "Buddy, remember your role The fast guys get paid, they shoot, they score Protect them, Buddy, that's what you're here for Protection is what you're here for Protection--it's the stars that score Protection--kick somebody's ass Protection--don't put the biscuit in the basket just Hit some, Buddy! it rang in his ears Blood on the ice ran down through the years The king of the goons with a box for a throne A thousand stitches and broken bones He never lost a fight on his icy patrol But deep inside, Buddy only dreamed of a goal He just wanted one damn goal There were Swedes at the the blue line Finns at the red A Russian with a stick heading straight for his head Brains over brawn--that might work for you But what's a Canadian farm boy to do What else can a farm boy from Canada to do But what's a Canadian farm boy to do What else can a farm boy from Canada to do In his final season, on his final night Buddy and a Finn goon were pegged for a fight Thirty seconds left, the puck took a roll And suddenly Buddy had a shot on goal The goalie committed, Buddy picked his spot Twenty years of waiting went into that shot The fans jumped up, the Finn jumped too And coldcocked Buddy on his follow through The big man crumbled but he felt all right 'Cause the last thing he saw was the flashing red light He saw that heavenly light There were Swedes to the left of him Russians to the right A Czech at the blue line looking for a fight Take care of your teeth--that might work for you But what's a Canadian farm boy to do What else can a farm boy from Canada to do But what's a Canadian farm boy to do What else can a farm boy from Canada to do Boat drinks By: jimmy buffett 1979 Boat drinks Boys in the band ordered boat drinks Visitors scored on the home rink Everything seems to be wrong

Nieuwy25
also, some baseball fans told me about this one song that goes "hidy hidy hidy ho," but i forgot the name, if any of you know the name of that one, please let me know That is an old (very old) Cab Calloway song. Not sure if that's the name of it or not. It's not fast paced or even a rock song. It's an old jazz number and after Cab sings "hidy hidy hidy ho", the fans repeat it, and it keeps going like that - just jibberish that gets repeated. M.
Isn't the Cab Calloway bit Minnie the Moocher? They used the Christina Aguilera song "Fighter" this weekend when they (amazingly enough) replayed the fights on the big screen. The songs have gotten better at the CAA- haven't heard Cotton Eye Joe in ages (thank goodness). I used to liek it when they played Brick House every now and then.
