Sharifijanov2099
Devils need to clear 3M and have 21 guys, according to TG. If they opt to go with 23 men, they'd have to clear 4-6M, per TG. With the glut of forwards now... you'd have to assume Zubrus is a goner. But I'll gladly throw some jam jars at a wall if Rolston magically moves on from the team. Triumph
the devils will not go with 23 men. i still think they can preserve zubrus for a year.
Dead
Is there anyway to clear all of Rolston's cap? Then we just need to move him One can dream no?

overtime98
Rolston is still a good veteran and can still play, someone should take him .

Dead
if i win the lottery, i will create a hockey franchise and take rolston If I win the lotto I will give Rolston $8-9 million out of pocket that day I win for him to walk away from Hockey..... and sign my friends Rolston jersey. CarpathianForest
I would alos give Rolston 8-9 million to walk away and also encourage him to go back to making dogfood. He was the Rolston in Rolston-Purina wasn't he?
Risky
If Lou can cap this whole experience by firing Rolston out of the ass end of Newark, it would really be the best September in Devils' history.

Neb00rs
Is there anyway to clear all of Rolston's cap? Then we just need to move him One can dream no? Technically no. We will either need to take on a decent contract to be rid of him, or ditch him on re-entry from which we would take half the cap hit. If I win the lotto I will give Rolston $8-9 million out of pocket that day I win for him to walk away from Hockey..... and sign my friends Rolston jersey. That won't help. insanity_gallops
Regardless of who gets traded away, I would not be at all surprised to see Mottau be re-signed once the Devils come in under the cap and decide they'd like another inexpensive veteran defenseman. Still think Anaheim, Nashville, Carolina could have interest in Salvador; Dallas, Colorado, Nashville, St. Louis, Carolina in Zubrus. Can't imagine the Devils would be looking for much more than draft picks/prospects.
HellOnICE
We NEED Zubrus. I don't think they will trade him.
xxchaznjxx
i might actually start believing in god if we can move rolston and salvador and keep zubrus.
capo
All Lou needs to do is to announce Colin White as captain of the Albany Devils.
Devil Fan
Langenbrunner to Toronto and Salvador to Albany. That saves us 5.7M
Biggie B
the devils will not go with 23 men. i still think they can preserve zubrus for a year. I would really hate to see Zubrus go, I think he really stepped it up last season, especially when he was put on lines with talent at his side. pattyelias
If I win the lotto I will give Rolston $8-9 million out of pocket that day I win for him to walk away from Hockey..... and sign my friends Rolston jersey. Then you'd be out $8-9M and the Devils would still be stuck with his $5M cap hit. He signed his contract over age 35, remember?
DevilNurn
I think we're much more likely to see some guys go down to Albany before there's a big move. Also, I think there's no way we move Zubrus, Rolston or Langenbrunner (and not to mention others like Elias and Zajac).

Devil Fan
Force Rolston to retirement and dealt his dead weight to teams that need to reach the cap floor such as the Isles and Avs.
Neb00rs
Force Rolston to retirement and dealt his dead weight to teams that need to reach the cap floor such as the Isles and Avs. A team isn't just going to take on Rolston just to reach the cap floor. No one will have that hard a time of reaching it.
