Amberite
Pretty good, smart deal coming out of Broadway for once. Staal has a ton of potential.
Neb00rs
That's the right cap hit and the right years. Good signing.
Devil Fan
Good signings but the Rags are sitting on the same boat with the Devils as they're currently 3M (approxiamtely) over the cap.

I never thought they would do it, but it's looking more and more likely that they are going to put Redden in the minors. There will likely be some sort of fallout as a result, but it looks like they don't have much of a choice.

If they don't move Redden down, they're going to have to trade Rozsival.
Triumph
they could waive todd white and either eminger, avery, or gilroy to get down to cap compliance, if they keep zuccarello-aasen in the minors and go with a 21 man roster. but it's most likely that redden will be waived. I don't think he'll play a shift for Hartford, unless for some reason he would rather ride the buses than go the Huet route and be farmed out overseas. Yea, they really can't do the first thing you said. It screws with the team too much and it's too panicky. Waiving Redden doesn't affect them at all, even if it pisses off the PA sometimes you have to do what's best for the team even if it involves bad press and the Union in your face. yankeesjetsfan
Doesn't Redden have a NTC or is it just the money he's making that's making it impossible to move him? Mike
Neb00rs
Doesn't Redden have a NTC or is it just the money he's making that's making it impossible to move him? Mike Redden has a special NTC in which he has a list of 8 teams that he won't accept a trade to. He would likely waive it it the Rangers give him an ultimatum (waivers/minors or trade). But the issue with him is being able to trade his contract.
Devilsfan118
I totally submitted a ridiculous offer-sheet to staal in nhl 11 to screw the rangers over cap-wise... But back to reality...damn, good signing. Those staal brothers all all ridiculously talented, sheesh. Talk about good genes.
