Jerrydevil
I'm with Clement. I'm picking Philly for the finals. But I think you could pick one of 10 teams from the East and not be considered an idiot. Canes, Caps, Senators, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Flyers, Leafs, Canadiens, Bruins.....I wouldn't be surprised if any of those teams made it. Atlanta, yeah, I'd be surprised if that happened. LMAO! Triumph
Hahaha, San Jose to win it all? The team without a #1 defenseman OR a #1 center? That team is so consistently 'underrated' that they're now overrated. Yes, they have balanced scoring, but their top line is not excellent. Unless Marleau steps up big time, and Selanne stops playing like he's lost a step..
sundstrom
If anyone's asking; my picks: East (no order) Toronto, Ottawa, Washington, Philly, Devils, Isles, Rangers, Atlanta. West (no order) Colorado, LA, SJ, Phoenix, Calgary, Dallas, Vancouver, Edmonton SJ over Ottawa for Cup. Norris: Lidstrom Hart: Nolan Vezina: Brodeur Richard: Bondra Ross: Jagr

I was actually shocked at the amount of people that pick Marty for the Vezina.
Jerrydevil
If Martin Brodeur wins the Vezina, we will have had a GREAT regular season. Maybe that's stating the obvious, but nevertheless........
redruM
How can all those people pick Broduer to wint he Vezina...yet NOONE picked NJ to win the CUP????
Yeah, I suck
I think Al Morganti had the best prediction out of those.

Sarge18
Of course, he was the only one to pick the Kings coming out of the West.

redruM
The Philly thing has me perplexed, Old fragile front line, the "D" is suspect, and we still donot know if the goalie can carry the team for the entire year..... youguys would not be surprised if the won the conf., I would not be surprised if their season was over before the begining of March. Red, look at it this way...is Philly better than Carolina, who got to the Finals last year Checkmanek has had two fine regular seasons in a row, though...he should be fine at least until the playoffs (and he did play well there too last year). Plus, Hitch should make a difference there. I do agree with Jerry that there are a few teams you could pick in the East and not be an idiot (I think ten's a little much, though). Philly, NJ, Ottawa, Carolina, Toronto (if you believe Eddie will bounce back, and I don't) could probably win the East. Maybe even Montreal if Theo isn't a fluke and Koivu stays healthy. Heck, Montreal could have won it LAST year if they don't meltdown in Game 4.

NJDF
I agree with StarDew....i think, they think, Marty carries us a long way but w/o the big scorers we fall short. GO DEVILS!!!
LordOfTheRinks
I can't believe Pang actually thinks it'll be a redwing-ranger final. Was he assigned the role of hype-meister to try and boost ESPN's hockey ratings?
HellOnICE
I don't see Devils making past the first round, with no trade for a scorer and some size. Regular Season is one thing, the playoffs another. I'm not being a dick about it, just something I believe. Niedermayer is TRADEABLE.
