Well if the Devils are gonna be a team that needs a 38 year old goalie to bail their a$$es out every game, were extremely fvcked. I don't know what else to say. At some pint you have to clean up your own end and put some pucks in the fvcking net. I don't care who the hell is playing goal.

I thought the D was making progress, and then this. This team can't hold a lead. Once the other team forechecks hard, our D looks like a mess. But it's not just the D, it's scary how the team as a whole plays after they take the lead. Against Dallas was the longest they held a lead, and even that was suprisingly quick how they lost the 2 goal lead. This has absolutelly no control over the games they've played.

What a fvcking waste of time that game was. No passion, no fire, no heart aside from the usual two or three guys. Why do we have to rely on luck to get some goals when we have assloads of skill on this team? Should we start a fire MacClean bandwagon now cuz I don't know "What's working" in practice because it translates into poppycock fvckin sh!t, from passing in the neutral zone to the goddamn awful powerplay. I was disappointed in Marty today, but yeah he's got no help from both the defense or the offense today or fvcking ever.

this is the perfect timing for a trade lou... i wouldnt mind to see anybody go at the point so i wouldnt be upset at all... so... go ahead :koolaid:

Thinking the same thing, next gm in five days...Make a package deal Clark/Langs for someone ask langs to be traded if not strip his C throw him on the 3rd line give the C to parise. Put kovy on left side with arnott elias, keep zub with parise and zajac. start hedberg more. Corrente or Urbom will be gone when Volchenkov gets back. We need some serious adjustments this week

awesome....worst offensive start of a season ever.

second worst start of a season....

It's only 6 games but this kind of puts things into perspective a little bit. I mean the Devils have been around a decent amount of time now and they have only started worse one time before this. Things are not going well to say the least.

I'm trying to figure out how much of an issue the cap problem is in the locker room. The injuries have bought the team some time but something is still going to have to give to solve the cap issues. That can't be a good thing to have hanging over the players heads.

There is just no chemistry anywhere right now. What makes it worse is that they're also trying to coax four rookies into the lineup at the same time along with a few new faces. I'm not trying to make an excuse for them but it's difficult circumstances to work with. It's clear they have no confidence in themselves or eachother at this point. Nothing is bouncing their way and it's all adding up.

Maybe the silver lining in all of this is that they are being stripped down and exposed like this, and it's not pretty. In order to move forward as a team they're going to have to be willing to sacrifice and play for one another. I really don't get that impression from them thus far. When things are going ok you kinda see it, but as soon as sh!t gets rough, you see way to much individual play. There is no support system there and they need to build one in order to turn this around. In that regard leaving Brodeur in net for the third was a good call imo. Let him take his lumps along with the rest of them. It would have been easy to put Moose in but then you're basically giving the impression that you're giving up the game. That type of mindset needs to go asap.

Gasp! A clear, thoughtful and well put response. It's like a breath of fresh air.

You know your ****** when Toronto is better.

They look uninspired.

Toronto? How about the ****ing Islanders! They have less talent than Albany and they're skating circles around us right now, mainly because of effort.

Sounds like Johnny Mac kept the dressing room closed in the postgame for ten minutes, according to CBC and said 'we have too many passengers'. GOOD, start calling some people out for this shameful play!

Thanks. I mean I'll bitch about Clarkson and Langs but a lot of it is just frustration and venting (although I really dont care for them but whatever) All of 2010 has basically been very frustrating if you're a fan of this team. But there is only so much negativity you can throw around. It's easy to single out certain guys but this is clearly a team thing at this point.

I usually don't like to sit on a loss for long stretches but having 4 days off is a big plus right now. Triumph mentioned it in another thread, this team has played a lot of hockey in a short amount of time to start the season. Things haven't gone well and its just going downhill. Sme time to practice and rest can only help. They need a fresh start.
