While I think a lot of claims of wrongful convictions are bogus (usually the press will hide the bad facts in a particular case), this seems like a pretty clear cut case.

Notice though it's not a new trial, but only a new "hearing" as to whether DNA evidence would be helpful at this juncture. It's possible that it won't, not because it wouldn't have exonerated them at the time, but that I would imagine the specimans become degridated enough that any results would be inconclusive.
