mmajeski06
http://www.nhl.com/ice/standings.htm#?navid=nav-stn-main Why do they blank out the Islanders losing streak? Also seems a few other streaks are off as well. Here are the ESPN standings: http://espn.go.com/nhl/standings
Dead
They reset it if there is an OT loss.
mmajeski06
Ah. Well that's dumb but oh well. Must not question the ways of Lord Bettman.
iamtheprodigy
An OT loss is still a loss...
aylbert
I was expecting to see "Why aren't we at the bottom anymore - site must be wrong"
eldon
At the bottom, they do explain it. tsn site does the same thing. * According to official NHL statistics regarding team streaks, a loss in overtime or a shootout ends a losing streak because the team earned a point in the standings (as opposed to zero points, as in a regulation loss). Teams that lose in a shootout or overtime thus have a blank listing in the Streak column in the standings.
mmajeski06
So does that mean the Islanders are no longer in the running for the longest losing streak?
