Ya know how the Pens award that shovel to the hardest working player on a given night (as documented on 24-7)? Well, I'm pretty sure these a$$holes do the same thing, only instead of a shovel, its a blanket, and it goes to the laziest cockbag of the night. Langenbrunner is on his way to being tonight's recipient.

langenbrunner and rolston need to be moved at all costs. jesus christ can they turn the puck over on a regular basis.

Jaime, thanks for 2003 and everything you did, but yeah, can't take watching you anymore, especially since you admitted you had trouble getting excited for last year's playoffs. Adios.

Coaching change looking great so far. Thank god we got rid of that bum McLean.

you're kidding, right?

lemaire had a whole hour with the team before this game? jesus some people are just ridiculous.

if winky would actually shoot when he has the open net rather than wait until roloson got back, it'd be 3-1 going into the break

At least some of these clowns will be getting shown the door soon...the one and only positive that will come out of all of this. I appreciate what some of them did in the past, but it's becoming more and more obvious by the game that it's over for this bunch.

It's especially over for the long time vets who are accustomed to winning for so long.

I said 10-15 games ago we were going to find out who it was depending on what the first major move was. It's apparent it was the players. Maclean is laughing somewhere tonight.

When the Holiday freeze is over, some of them have to be gone.

I don't know why any Devils fan would like Langensucker..I always thought he sucked ass. He's fvcking terrible.

Guess his contributions in 2003 and the fact that he had some of his top offensive seasons here are lost on you. I think it's time for him to go and I thought so after last season, but if you thought he always sucked ass I'm at a loss as to what you were watching all of these years.

anytime i open up a beer, the Islanders score within a minute. Then i get all paranoid I'm jinxing them but i need more beer to put up with this. IS anyone else having a similiar problem?

Something similar, I had surgery this morning and they gave me Vicodin for pain. I didn't need it until I started watching this game....

well...the final 3 minutes were kind of ok

See? Progress! Well, the staying close part didn't work out in the first, but they can still not give up three more in the second.

3-0, maybe getting one back to get within two after two and that'd be some progress.

You don't go from being embarrassing to winning, you go from embarrassing to not being embarrassing. So let's just shoot for that first.

Damn....

Maybe firing MacLean was a mercy firing? It's the only reason I can think of because I just have no other explanation as to why Lou would wait this long to make a move that means nothing at this point. Lemaire is done after this year and the players know that. Some players are also going to be done here and they know that as well. That period was a perfect example of a team that is just going through the motions. MacLean having his name stamped on a full season of this sh!t would have been horrible for his career. Then again it's really bad for his career that he was canned as well lol. I just don't know what to think at this point. It's just odd that you have all these people (coaches + players) on this so called "team" and it's clear that they have no obligation to each other.

Baby steps!

Absolutely. I mean the last several games have just been soooo bad, even the guys on the team that don't suck are shellshocked. The team has to be brought back off the edge first.

At this point not letting this one get to, oh, 6-0, would have to be some progress. They've been falling apart more and more each game. At the going rate a 10-spot was in the offing...who knows maybe it still is, we'll see.
