CaptainScotty
Hmm, I almost, ALMOST, thought the rangers had their holes covered, but it looks like they are just as susceptible this season to blown coverage and shoddy defense as last season. And the usual lack of grit... Though I have to admit that the Holik-Barnaby connection is pretty gritty.... I love it when the rangers suck, its almost as good as seeing the Devils win. NJayDevil
4-1 final. And you ppl think the Devs looked bad last night?? Thank god you aren't a Ranger fan then.
devilsadvocate
Just when you thought you couldn't detest the Ranger$ more.... they zoom in on #16 , chewing on his mouth guard. And after that stirring, dramatic Opening Night ceremony, no less. Gotta love it!
Nieda
every time i saw holiks ugly face, i wanna vomit... i watched the second and third period, and it was pretty boring, the Canadians didnt even look all that great and the rangers sucked, i thought they might of actually won it. Yeah, I suck
JD and Sam are a bunch of MORONS!!!!! "Oh no, there goes the Rangers 10 straight Penalties killed" I wanted to punch them after some of the comments they made . This goes to prove that the win against Carolina was because Carolina wasn't playing to their fullest, not that the Rangers out played them. '7'
The Rangers were absolutely horrific tonight. A completely different team from the one that showed up in Carolina. No effort on the PP, can't put 2 passes together or get any quality chances on Theodore. Pavel better hurry back because this team looks mediocre without him. they just quit after the 1st period. Holik didn't do much, Kasparaitis was terrible.
NJayDevil
I would like Pavel to take his time getting back thank you very much.
SBT
The Ranger's problem is their pathetic defense. And the concept of defense is most foreign to Pavel. So the Rangers will lose, with or without Bure.
Pepperkorn
I jinxed them saying they were getting it back together after turning into a mild mess at the end of the first...HAHAHAHA! The blew monkey chunks...I'm just not sure how it happens -here is where we'll see if Trotts can actually do anything for them. Heeheee wonder what Holik had to say after the game... unibrow
The Rangers were awful tonight, but at least they weren't as bad as San Jose last night. On the up side, I got to watch a nice Canadian broadcast of the game where they actually commentate in an even-handed non-homer kind of way. You mean you can call games that way? Shocking. MantaRay
For all the hoopla about beating the Canes, people tend to gloss over that the Rangers had the second most goals against in pre-season, tonight was just another example about poor defense costing an unorganized team. Derek21
Fact: They played two games. Maybe some of you should judge them when more games are played.
sheeps
Fact: We're Devils fans. you mean it's too early to start celebrating that we're #1 in the east? lol

You mean you can call games that way? Shocking. Heh, I don't mind watching Canadian/TSN telecasts . I've only seen a few but they seem less homerish than what we get subjected to on ESPN, so far. And at least I didn't have to hear SAM NOSEN! I only saw last half of game but NYR$ did revert back to their old sucky-a$$ ways...

Nice to see some optimism . There's 82 games. It's always better to finish strong.
