Devilsfan118
Yeah, like Corrente was creating fireworks with his exceptional play! Perhaps I've already mentally assigned fayne as my go-to player to blame, but I thought corrente played substantially better than fayne. Granted, he didn't light anything up, but I didn't notice as many "Wow what the fvck are you doing" type mistakes from corrente.

sundstrom
this is fine. fayne is holding taormina's spot really. 7-5 28-6 2-34/29 that 34/29/22 really is going to be 20 when taormina gets healthy.

Speaking of which, hes going to see a doctor this week to get the green light to start skating again.
SatansDevils
Maybe Corrente should not fight anymore. This is the second injury this season because of fighting. He is not that good of a fighter anyway and would rather have him out on the defense playing D. Leave the fighting to Clarkson and Fraser. Corrente has been doing OK when he was in the line up playing some D. Fayne is OK too. This team is really missing Taormina right now. ATLL765
While Taormina definitely played above and beyond what all of thought he would, he wasn't exactly the greatest in his own end. He was definitely adept on the offensive side of the puck, but his defensive game left a lot to be desired imo. So while him coming back will be a boost for the team, I think in his absence, some here may have over glorified his defensive play in their minds and are setting themselves up to be disappointed when he comes back and our defense isn't any better. Especially with the fact that his injury will most likely leave him rusty and in need of a few games to get back into 100% game shape and then a few more to be back into a comfortable groove with his play. Basically, when he gets back it will help the team, but in no way is his presence going to make theis D corps substantially more sound in it's own end. I think the best we can hope for is that he comes back and he gets our PP back into a groove and can really help us win some games. sirjohn
I agree the Devils are not missing much with Taormina. He was little Johnnie's pet for some reason but I don't think he was ready. It's a shame about Corrente though. I think he has a future and the Devils desperately need some toughness. Sometimes it looks like they are afraid to push opposing players out of the crease. Maybe its because they don't have a legitimate heavyweight fighter on the team.
ZeroGravityFat
devils are missing a lot without taormina, he's a great offensive defensemen who will feed kovie, etc. for long passes.
Devs4LIFE
Looks like Corrente was injured at the :58 second mark. I like Corrente's game personally, I thought he brought a nice physical edge while playing a safe game in our own zone. Give him a couple of seasons and he'll probably be a solidified #4 defenseman. этотсайтебут
In any event, the Devils sure are snake-bit with defensive injuries. I'd like to see Tao get back on the ice soon.

этотсайтебут
corrente's fights piss me off. 80% unnecessary. This If he can't choose his battles correctly, let alone throw a punch without getting hurt, perhaps he should concentrate on his defensive play and checking game.
