Tour of the Arena

There was a yellow piece of paper on my seat at the devils/penguins game and when I went to where it said to go the guy said I won a tour of the arena. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this.. Would they take me into the locker room and stuff? Or is it just an attempt to get me to buy season tickets?

i've taken a tour of MSG, in 8th grade as part of a city trip, the year after the devils won the first cup. I hat my devils hat on and a t-shirt with a big picture of the ring on it while there. We got to see the rangers locker room, yeah smelled pretty nasty. Wonder why more arena tours don't include locker rooms, if you're being led around supervised like that, what's gonna happen?

I took the tour before the season started. They are trying to see Season tix but it is well worth the tour.

Yeah thats a great story. I have personally never gone on a tour of the arena but if they treat everyone like they did you and your family, they should sell a decent amount of season tickets just off of tours. Its nice to even give the tours to begin with because I am sure most people go into it thinking they are getting away with a free tour.....which they are.

A few years back my grandparents got my friend and I along with them tickets to take a tour of the old Yankee Stadium. It was awesome...went to the press box, along the track of the feild, through the underground, in the dug outs and out to the place that the head stones for the great yankee players are. Really cool when I was 14 or 15 so I am sure your kids, ryani, will remember that tour.

I actually got a call from some chick w/ the Devils offering me a tour last week. She said that you get to see the visitors locker room. I kinda blew off the call as I dont really care about an arena tour. I assume they got my number via Score-O as thats the only thing Ive put my home # in on.

I won a tour of the arena via facebook and although it was pretty cool because I got to meet Marshall and my boys had a good time with NJ Devil, I was rather disappointed with the tour itself. At the time I had only been to a handful of games and they pretty much showed me everything I had already seen....a few things where nice, getting to see the box seats and things like that but absolutely no access to the Devils player's locker room kinda stunk....and when we walked down to the ice there was a guy blocking us so we couldn't even touch it...not even lay a finger on it.....but oh well, from it I got a pretty good experience and a guy that calls me every so often trying to get me to buy Devils tickets :)

I just got back from the tour actually and it was really cool. The guy Tyler was awesome and took us to the "Bunker" which is ridiculous as well as the press box and a couple sweets just for fun. We have been in talks about season tickets and will be purchasing them. It was actually a great idea for us because he took us to every area we were interested in to see the views from each section and he wasn't pushing us to spend mucho dinero. We explained to him we can't afford "great seats".. took a picture from where we were standing and wrote down the price so we can think about what we want to do. He didn't put pressure on us, just wanted to sit down and talk about all the options we have and payment plans and whatnot. Quite honestly it sealed the deal for us because we got a full day of seeing each view and made the decision for us much easier to where we want to sit without having to just recall in my mind what the view was like from attending past games. If you are defenitely intersted in putting out cash for the season tix i would recommend the tour first because you get a better grasp on what to expect.. as a firs time buyer of course and only being to 12 games within the last 3 years it really helped a lot.

I feel owned...I've been buying flex plans for the past few years and decided to do the full season this year.. My frozen over prize was a behind the scenes tour with Grant Marshall. It was pretty cool, but it really wssnt a prize at all for paying in full by a certain date. I probably couldve convinced them to give me this tour if I didnt purchase the whole season. Not complaining because I still wouldve paid up front regardless

Just wonder why the locker rooms are so top secret. If you're being led around by a guide what are they expecting to happen? Is there something in there they don't want photographed and up on the interwebs or something? I suppose maybe if the coaches wrote up some info on the whiteboards and didn't want the other team's people to stumble on it online when someone uploads the photos but still, you'd think they'd be smart enough to erase the board when nobody's there...
