iamtheprodigy
http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/fireice/comments/salvador_doctors_say_worst-case_scenario_is_that_hell_be_ready_for_the_star/ Bryce Salvador can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Devils defenseman knows there’s a decent chance he won’t reach it before the end of is season, but has been assured by a host of specialists that he will get there and be back for the start of training camp next season. Good to hear that Salvador still exists.
jagknife
i'm glad he's getting healthy and can continue playing. concussions suck so it's good to see he's leveling out and getting better.
Devilsfan118
I'm glad to hear he intends to come back and play, but, honestly, at his age...after an entire year without seeing a single practice, what're the odds he can crack the lineup? Quinn01
You have no idea how glad I am to hear this. He is a sold dman that this team really needs. D-vet. Besides that I am extremely happy to hear that he is looking up and ready to get back and play. Thats a great sign. I cant wait to see #24 back out there. Vic Rattlehead18
I hope he comes back during the playoffs...I would guess he'd be in for salmela to pair with greene. Fayne isn't going anywhere. I was also wondering where taormina would fit in when he gets back. Would our 6th man chain be salvador-taormina-salmela-fraser-leach. Except you can't really consider salvador a 6th man.
NJDevs4978
Unfortunately I think either way Sal's played his last game as a Devil. Let's be honest, next year when you have White, Tallinder and Volchenkov still around with Fayne having another year, Taormina healed up (hopefully) and Urbom likely next year's rookie insertion with even a guy like Salmela doing good enough to be a legit #6-7 there's really not any room for him. And that's not even taking into account Greene who might not be re-signed.
Elias26
I forgot he was on the team.
stevestevens
I think it is going to be too difficult for Salvador to get into things... I wish him well but I do believe his Devil days are over.
halfsharkalligatorhalfman
I don't think he has a future on this team. I think his last year will be in Albany if he comes back.
Bryan
No matter how it ends up for him, I'm glad he took his time coming back and didn't rush himself into more trouble.
newarkdev01
ya I know Lou shows loyalty to his players so i think he would try to give sal a chance to prove he is fine post concusion then most likely move him. I think the part that gets lost in alot of the Lemaire discussions is how well he has taught our rookie defensemen, you can see how much calmer they are. I think by next year we do see a much younger core at D (with White, Tallender and Volchenkov to anchor them). Triumph
good news for salvador, but bad news for NJ. there's just no way they can fit salvador under the cap.
coldply123
Good chance he's done as a Devil anyway. If he does come back and Lou plays the whole loyalty nonsense, it means the end of Andy Greene and kinda crimps the ability to fill out the rest of roster dependent on what Parise's number is. DevilNurn
good news for salvador, but bad news for NJ. there's just no way they can fit salvador under the cap. Exactly. The circumstances of the injury mean nearly nothing, we just can't fit him in.
robdeselich88
There must be a rule that if you come off a LITR that you can't be bought out or something like that. The one thing i am most excited for (player personal wise) that next year is the last year of Colin White(or at least his 3.00) We all think we have a bad cap situation but it's not as bad as the blackhawks had it last year. Flyers have 8.00 to use on their RFA's... Rangers have two core players to lock up, and resigning boyle. to name a few
