    My top 3 would be Stevens Night (not becasue of the game but because of the pure emotion displayed that night), the final game of the season in Montreal and opening night against the Penguins (after a year off it was great to finally see the Devils back in action)

    The way I'm looking at it right now every bounce went the Devils way for over a month. Yesterday everything went against us. They were bound to lose at some point though I wasn't hoping for a 6-0 ass kicking. I don't want to use the week layoff as a excuse but they looked like they were skating in slow motion yesterday and couldn't connected a pass if their lives depended on it. I honestly can't remember one quality scoring chance they had. I expect a much tougher Devils team tomorrow night. Maybe a good ass kicking is just what they needed to prove to themselves they aren't invincible. I'm not worried yet, that will change however with a Game 2 loss.

    I don't like this. I was really hoping the quick work the Devils made of the Rangers and the long rest was going to help White be ready for the start of this series. It's one thing being able to get away with him not being in the lineup against the Rangers but the Canes are far superior to them. I have a feeling we're going to need him this series.

    All is right with the world I guess. No one gives us a chance- just the way I like. The Devils have been proving these so called "experts" wrong for years. No matter what the Devils do things will never change. Let all the pressure be on the Canes to win- that suits me just fine and I think the Devils as well.

    I know anything can happen but who honestly thinks that even if the Ducks win tonite that they'd make it far enough to have their name "etched on the Cup"?

    I don't think they will make it far enough. I should have stressed EVER. Doesn't have to be this year just not in any year.

    This is a reply to me from another board I post at.

    You just happened to catch the Rangers on a bad streak and we happened to catch you on a good streak. That's the olny reason you guys won.

    While that is true, surely it can't be the fact the Devils were the BETTER team in every aspect of the series. I'm really starting to believe Larry Brooks is getting some of his excuses from some of the message boards I've been reading.

    Huh I have never had a problem getting tickets to a game in MTL. No one can get tickets in Toronto. I have met many leaf fans from the Toronta area that go to MTL games cuz they can get tickets. They just want to see a hockey game even if the leafs are not playing. I would think a big reason a city would want a team is for the tourism it brings to the area which brings money. Well that is more reason to hate the Canes and at least I will be able to see the Devils play them in NJ. Now if I only knew which day I was coming down to see them.
    No one can get tickets in Toronto.

    I always thought the same thing. Back in February of '02 I went to Toronto for four days and the Leafs were playing the Canadiens that Saturday. I walked up to the Air Canada Centre about 2 hours before the game and scalped two tickets for $30 each. (American money)

    It was the easiest scalping I've ever done in my life. :P
