I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet. One of the greatest sequences of events in our playoff history, and one of my favorite moments ever as a fan of this team. Just listen to that crowd.
This was my first Devils game at the Meadowlands and I went to the game with my father pretty impartial to who won because we are from Long Island and I was always an Islander fan.
But after this game, and feeling that energy in the CAA. I never looked back. LETS GO DEVILS!

No way. This team is moving forward with the youth. Love Sarge to death but cmon. Lets not go down this road.

That was pretty terrible. Out of all the history that this team has, that was what they showed.
All the classic playoff clips they could have shown, and they showed that awful Oiler game. fvck you MSG!

This years exit is a lot more "alarming/sickening" rather then lasts years "upsetting/dissapointed" feeling.
Hopefully this is a major moment for the franchise to clean house and start rebuilding for the future. And please dont say, "the devils dont rebuild". They better start because its obvious this group of players are not the ones that are going to get the Devs our 4th cup.

Obviously its not going to be an easy series, but if we are going to make a cup run we are going to have to beat good teams. This is a good start. Its going to be a war, and the boys need to get their minds in a war-like mentality. Its going to be mean, physical, nasty, you could go on for days with those adjectives....
I will take Marty over Boucher any day of the week, obviously so right there we have a major edge. We havent had this big of a goaltending edge in a playoff series in 07. Everybody is saying how the PP is going to need to step up and that is very true. Philly is going to take penalties and we need to bury our chances.
I think Elias is going to be the X factor. Lots of career success against Philly and that is going to need to continue.

That is the feed I got but I'm not sure how much longer I can listen to this sh*t. These hack motherfvckers are doing nothing but dissing the Devils every chance they get. Completely unprofessional but what else would you expect from such a p.o.s. organization. Fvcking nimrods.
They just ripped on how we are going to be "boring" and "defensive" this year.

I'm at freshmen at Penn State now, and if you highly recommend it, I'm going to have to look into it because I won't be satisfied with just Devs/Pitt and Devs/Flyers games.

**The Devils will host the Ottawa Senators at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25 -- the first time in team history that they will play a home game on the day before Thanksgiving (They are usually on the road for the holiday). They return to action on Friday, Nov. 27 for a noon start in Boston and then return home the next day to host the Islanders at 1 p.m.
Nice. That will be my first vacation home from college (Penn State). Looks like ill be able to catch that game and the Islanders game. Im gonna miss being home and being able to go to all these weekend games!!

I think Oduya should be more of a priority than Madden or Pando. Oduya is young, fast, and has good puck handling skills. A talented YOUNG mobile dman is what this team needs.

I thought tonight's episode was one of the best ever. It was just really really cool, and the drama with faradays mom and whidmore.

Sign Oduya and Zajac...Let Madden,Pando, Gio go and free up some cap space. We need a legit Defensemen!

I know Madden isnt here to score goals. But i mean for the amount of time he had and to only have 7 goals i mean come on. This team needs to start thinking offensively. I know this is a tough concept for the Devils, but we need to start gearing this team around the offense that Parise, Zajac, Elias, Langs bring and not the madden checking style. We played so well, when the team won its game on its offensive ability. Not "shutting down the other teams top line" aka playing the whole freaking game in our end, praying to just get the puck out.
If Madden, Pando, Sutter are all back next year...expect the same thing we saw in the playoffs.

Things to do next year:
-Madden needs to be resigned this guys is the only player who came to win every night.
-Re-sign Havlid . A solid defensemen and will only be better next year with us.
-Oduya is a star in the makings in the next few years needs to get a muli-year contract.
-Corrente moves up, Mottau becomes a #7 guy.
-Need to find the next Rafalski, not an expensive UFA.
-Need to give Mattia Tenneby a chance to make the big club.
-Need to give Bergsfor a chance to make the big club.
-Make LB3 a regular
-Ask Shanny to come back.
-Find a way to lose Zubrus.
I agree with everything except the first 2. Madden is just doesnt have it anymore, sorry. Havelid was god awful. But if we remember Salvador wasnt that great when he came here after the deadline last year, and this year i thought he was pretty good. Thats the only positive i see with resigning havelid.
Id love to see Tenneby here.

If i see Niclas Havelid as a New Jersey Devil at the start of next season, i will kill myself. If Lou doesnt realize that this Defense SUCKS we have major major major problems!

Can this team please pick up a center that would make Elias and Rolston effective. As much as i dont like Rolston, look at the line he is on. Does anyone expect him to do anything being slowed down with Clarkson and Rupp. I mean come on. Put a decent center between Elias and Rolston, and then lets evaluate Rolston. That still doesnt excuse his horse sh!t effort of a season. fvcking bust.

Worst lost in franchise history!?
Im going to have a real tough time going back to the Rock next year, luckily i have college so i can only make it on breaks. I just dont know wat to say, we are 1:20 from having just a really really special moment. And they it is just snatched away right in front of your face. Devastating, just devastating.
I know its way early, but this team needs to be gutted. There is no way we can bring back a team that even resembles this. No way this same team can overcome this loss. Sutters gotta go and all the dead weight on this team. Can we please get younger and faster.
Im going to be depressed for months. fvck.

Im missing my high school baseball game. I already missed a game and made up a lie so i could be at Game 5, lol but Im just coming with the truth for Game 7. I dont care. Devils > Anything.

Got to watch a little bit of the game in class. Thought the offense looked great late in the first, early 2nd thats all i saw.
Great to get the first W. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going thursday and have a winning homestand.
