Im dont like the tank idea... But the reality is we lost our two superstar inside of two years. We need a new star and mcdavid would be our star. Our guy. If we are draftibg later ( between 5 to 15) i want svechnikov. Im sold on him. But again we can dream about macdavid or eichel. Those 2 would bring our new identity as a team.

Have you seen him play? He seems like one of the better Russian players coming through in the past few years. He's put up impressive numbers. I would like to see the Devils take a chance on him if the top few guys are off the table.
Yes i saw him play a couple time. He was as dominant as it gets. Really love his play, + man he is big for a 18years old.

No tanking... You never know in life. A lot of if for us but you never know. I will take a look at wjc to see what eikel mcdavid could bring. If mcdavid is really a crosby. It would be awesome to get him. Anyways. I will watch every devils game and try to enjoy it

Remember... In 2011 we had kovalchuk and parise, everybody thought we need defense at that time. Now with all the sh!t that happens over the last couple of year, we dont have any offense. At that time Larsson was our bestfit.
But today i would yakupov him in a heartbeat.

its obviously gonna take time... but im worried that with Lou we're prolonging the downfall with his mentality. Bringing in new management at least would show that there's a willingness to change things. It's not a guaranteed thing either but this team needs to head a different direction. Not gonna happen with Lou, he's way too stubborn and he wants to win now no matter what.
If lou want to win now he should do something quick!

Please fire Deboer. The 2nd goal had no business going in the net. No team makes those backdoor layup plays any easier than the Devils defense. Those backdoor plays are supposed to be the most difficult play for attacking teams to pull off, and yet teams do it on a regular basis against the Devils.
There is no defensive structure with this team! Deboer only cares about having the puck.
And worse than taht... We dont create any offense. Puck deep in the zone them at the point then shot from blue line. Always block. We all know what the devils will do everytime. Others team know it too... Change coaching staff is the right thing to do.
We are in the hunt for a playoff sopt by playing like sh!t. With a great coach we would be right there. We are not an elite team but we should definitely make the playoff. We are losing like loser each and every night.

Since merrill is back, i think we play better overall.
I am not impress by the zajac play this season. Elias wasnt good lately, brunner was irregular.
One positive, i thought Havlat look great today. We are clearly missing cammalleri.

Since kovy is gone we suck big time.... Kovalchuk still my favorite player. He can carries his team on his back. Something we don't have anymore. We need a superstar player. A gamebreaker.

We all know coyotes wants to trade their players.
The one i would love here is Mikael Boedker. The guys is only 24 years old and i saw him as a 55 to 65 points a season. (maybe more he continues to improve)
Since we need offense i think bringing him make a lot of sense for our squat. He would brings speed, intensity, physicality and size. Also he may not be an elite skill players, but he have some offensive upside (good shot and an awesome backhand).
One more thing, Deboer like him a lot. He coachs him in Kitchener and always praise his performance (something rare for a young player.)
Your thought? Would you swap a young D for him?

There are some mental collapse there. It's how we loose game. Everytime we take a 2 or 3 goal leads, other team comebacks against us. That can't happen if your team is well prepared to play with an advance. We don't play with any confidence. When we trailed we dont show we can comeback and when we lead we doubt we can keep it. Yes we have an average lineup. But i still believe this team ( with actual roster) should makes the playoffs. With a new coach, there is no way a guy like ryder plays for us. We play to many liabilty, even our captain is not intense. Sloppy decision and plays. Our players ( except cammy, henrique and jagr) dont believe. We need character and all that is at the image of the coach. That's why a team like calgary, nashville etc are retlentless. They have that attitude and mentality that we use to have years ago. Calgary outwork their opponent every fvcking games. When they loose they dont talk about <<tough building or deserve better>> they talk about how they can get better. Im tired of excuses and i receive excuses for two years now. Pete deboer time is up with us let´s face it and turn the page. Yes he had a cup run in 2012, but let me remind us that the guys had all the motivation in the world the year before by jacques lemaire. And this team no longer exist. It no longer devils hockey to me. Our identity was to be tough to play against. Today, teams play their backup and beats us anyways. I became a fan of this team when i was a kid in the late 90 because they make me believe. No matter who they play, they will compete hard and give everything they have. A team that frustrate other team´s. A team that found ways to win. A team that you say( there is no easy game against them) well since 2012 we didn't see more of that hockey. We have to refind that... What hurt me the most is really the way we play. I want to be proud of that logo again.

we made the finals 2 years ago... with our gm i believe things will shakeup. trades coaching staff etc.

but the coaching staff id a problem. i see worst lineup doing better (calgary as an example)

Ryder out, Zubrus out, Jagr if we can get something out!, i would consider trading elias if you can get 1 round pick for him,
Keep our young defense. Let play Brunner, Josefson, and other.
The thing is... I still believe we would and could make the playoff with a turnaround like a new coach.
