    Rangers fans are just going to push your buttons because they don't fully understand the story and want to get a rise out of all of you.

     

    Look at it this way from this Sabres fans perspective: One of our previous owners John Rigas was handcuffed out of his office, was using $ from the team for lavish vacations, etc, ran us into the complete ground, there were some rumors of a move but it never happened.

     

    And they are still in Buffalo. NJ will be fine.

    I said it earlier:  Vanek and Elias would be unstopable.   Depends on what we have to give up.

     

     

    Well I have a feeling the Sabres are motivated to make a Vanek trade and hopefully pawn Miller off on someone (he will be a deadline move at best).

     

    And since the Devils and Sabres just recently talked trade, I really think Vanek to New Jersey can be a reality.

    Its basically set up like a concert. They have a fancy stage with the boards with the draft list and all that for TV. You wouldnt be able to see sh!t sitting up behind that. + there's insurance considerations in case of an emergency.

    I dunno (edit: I think its Ottawa) where this is, but general idea. Why would you want to sit up behind that? Just to "be there"?

    I attended the NHL Draft in Los Angeles a couple of years ago, and while it was a cool novelty to be there, after awhile it did get boring and I left early.  After the 2nd round it is really hard to keep up and keep your interest.

    Colorado has three solid centermen - Duchene, O'Reilly, and Stastny.  They're lacking pretty much everything else, especially blueline mobility/puck skill - they've got Tyson Barrie and that's about it in that department.  I don't think them picking Jones would have anything to do with the fact that he spent time in Colorado as a boy.

     

     

    Fair points indeed....unless the Avs trade O'Reilly at or before the draft, that would not surprise me....and given Stastny's injury woes...not sure he can be relied on over the long haul. Maybe the Avs can trade down 1-2 spots for someone who wants MacKinnon and pikc up more picks and still get Jones

    Shinkaruk's stock seems to be rising lately. Apparently he's a really talented goal scorer, drawing some Parise comparisons from certain people. I'm starting to think that he's our most likely guy, unless Buffalo picks him and leaves us one of the Europeans...which of course, is what I'm hoping for. I don't know, for some reason I just can't see the Devils drafting Shinkaruk, though.

     

    Most mocks have Carolina choosing a defenseman, despite their GM hinting (or full-on stating?) that he wants to go for a forward. I still don't know why both Carolina and Edmonton are opting to add forwards when Nurse and Ristolainen both have good shots at becoming franchise defensemen, which is exactly what they need (lol Schultz).

     

     

    As a Sabres fan I would be very happy if they took Shinkaruk, as he can play LW and given that the Sabres took 2 Centers in last year's draft, not sure if i see the Sabres going Center again this season. 

     

    Now given that the Sabres have picks 8 and 16 I do wonder if the Sabres will try to move up, if there is ever a draft to do this, this would be the one.  Would absolutely love to see Buffalo go up and get Drouin, but I don't see the Top 3 budging unless they are blown away with an offer.

     

    I don't get why Seth Jones is seen as the clear #1: NHL.com talks about Storylines...if GM's base their pick, especially a #1 overall pick, off of a storyline, that GM will be unemployed quick. To me MacKinnon is the logical pick for Colorado, with a team with a lot of needs, I wouldn't take a defenseman #1 overall.

     

    Also a big fan of Ristolainen, but I am not sure if I see the Devils taking 2 defenseman in the Top 10 over the last 3 seasons (Larsson)...so Lindholm would be a sweet pick at 9 IMO.

    I'm gonna vote for Marty. Even as a non Devils fan, it would be great to see MB30 get his due on the NHL 14 cover.

     

    I just gave Marty 10 votes. Bobrovsky over an all time great goalie would be a travesty.
