  1. ..any Pats fan that dances after tonights game is a fool.

This has been the New England script, for the past 5 years. It's Madden football, from September till November. Then the playoffs come, and they're nowhere to be found.

They'll impress me if they can do this in January. If not.. it'll be 4 playoff losses in-a-row.

IDK, If my QB threw for 500+ yards on Week 1 I would be stoked

  2. Is it the Shaun Merrimen impact?

Partly. It's the GM Buddy Nix's impact.

    Some names:

    Kyle Williams.

    Marcell Darieus

    Kelvin Shepard

    Nick Barnett

    Kirk Morrison

A transformation of the defense has begun. Mostly SEC guys which, although we know that conferences cheats like crazy and never gets caught, produces big, physical players on defense and that is how the Bills are building this defense. Finally, what the living hell took so long!

On offense, the Bills finally have a solid QB in Fitz. While is is not spectacular, he is a smart QB (high Wonderlic scores, Ivy League guy) who is mobile, and has become the unquestioned leader of the team.

The OL is still is work in progress, but is slowly coming together, but I do not expect it to be a strength.

Lee Evans will NOT be missed. He will help Baltimore more then hurt Buffalo. David Nelson and Donald Jones are two WR's that you will hear more about someday (just not on ESPN, they are too busy with their beloved Pats and Eagles now). Stevie Johnson is the clear #1 WR here and he and Fitz hopefully will be signed soon.

Fred Jackson is a tough runner, and can find a small hole and fight for yards. He runs like every carry is his last. CJ Spiller needs to learn from Fred, but I am fearing he will not live up to his billing.

8-8 would be a good season and something to build on for 2012..

Now if we can just get a real owner....

  3. Again, I don't think you understand. There's no mad dash if you move players to Waivers at kickoff. Read Mask's post above.

Especially in a keeper league, we really should be using a more orderly process to pick up players.

This doesn't stop someone from picking up Randy Moss or TO if they come out of retirement... but it does prevent someone from snagging a backup RB or QB because they just saw the starter carried off on a stretcher. It' not meant to prevent handcuff vulturing... but allows for actual use of the waiver priority list other than add/drops.

Question: Every owner has the same advantage/disadvantage when the games are kicked off, correct?

or must we take an inventory on who has the most smartphones/laptops available? :noclue:

  4. LET ME SAY THIS LOUD AND CLEAR....

NOBODY WILL DO WHAT MY TEAM CAN....

NOBODY WILL REACH THE FEATS AND MILESTONES MY TEAM CAN....

YOU WILL ALL BOW TO THE GREATNESS...

OF MY 2-12 FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM...YOU WILL ALL MARVEL IN TEH FAIL OF MY PICKS...THE LACK OF MANTA BLOCKS...ANOTHER CJ SPILLER FAIL OF A PICK...

    BOW TO ME!!!!!!!!!!

    :yea:

  5. I don't think an 8hr clock resolves much... the average is at 2:38 clock adjusted (far right column), well below the 12hr or 8 hr clocks. It's the spikes of delays that kill us.

LOTCB is very close to the 8hr mark, then it drops to Manta/DevsMJ as the 2nd tier of delay of about 5 hrs per pick... after that, the speed is all under 3 hours average... which is rather reasonable.

That doesn't mean we need everyone to check here every 3 hours, but just the basic things... if you know your up, keep an eye out more... the 3 hour average is more a mix of 10min-1 hour picks mixed with 7-8 hour picks.

I must say Im doing a horrible job so far...I should be CLOSER to 8 hrs!

  6. Rivers has the benefit of playing Oakland, KC, Denver and at one time Seattle to pump up his numbers. We crush him everytime we play him.

This is the part of an NFL fan that I cannot understand. Since you are in the mood to discuss NFL fans with 'no knowledge' how does this prove anything about Flacco vs Rivers?

Care to reverse the situation and switch the QB's (Rivers to Baltimore and Flacco to San Diego)...maybe THEN you will get over Steelerphobia or whatever its called)

A lot of fans just view winning as the criteria for what makes an NFL QB elite. While yes, it is PART of the equation and has to be no question, one must look at everything: organization, coaching, GM, is the team cheap, etc...what weapons does that QB have around him...nah, its just easier to just look at wins and losses, instead of actually taking the time to analyze the QB.

I will grant you this: Flacco is a good QB, no questions asked, but from my vantage point: He just does some things that baffle me, whether its holding the ball too long, INT's etc. Can it change? Sure...but as of right now, he is what he think he is.

Again, there is more to the WR position than running fast. Stallworth is one of fastest players in the league, and he could crack our top 3. We beat every team but Pittsburgh which is more mental than physical barrier.

QB's make the receiver more then the receiver makes the QB.

Look at the Bills: With Trent Edwards, the WR's sucked...enter Fitz, Stevie Johnson and others flourish..did the receivers get better overnight?

    Nope.

Did Evans flourish? Him and his 37 receptions last year speak for that. You have a burner who will make you a big play, but will disappear more then you will expect. Have fun.

  7. We'll find out this year because this is the first time that Flacco's got a receiver that can actually....you know.... run past someone :P

How long will Flacco fanboys use that excuse?

Did Rivers use that last year with no VJ and practice squad WR's as he ringed up MONSTER numbers?

Its put up or shut up time for Flacco.

  8. Overrated? He has only been in the league three years and is only the fourth quarterback to bring his team to the playoffs in his first three seasons, and is the first to win a game in each. He is still learning and getting better the sky is the limit here.

Would not be surprised if he has 4,000 yards passing this year and 30 TD's. If Flacco can get over his Steelerphobia, no one will be able to stop us from winning the Championship this year. But that is a big "IF" so far.

You can blame your coaching staff for stunting Flacco's growth when he was a rookie. Too often he is looking for the checkdown receiver, holds the ball too long, and throws that critical INT.

I think Flacco is a good QB, but overinflated because of his team's success.

  9. Jackers!!!!

I am going to Manta-block myself:

The MantaRavens select our finally injury free defense:

    The BALTIMORE RAVENS D.

    DAMN YOU!!

All kidding aside, Manta glad you are ok I was concerned to be honest....

But no concerns at all....no excuses, you MUST be here or face the autodraft fate!!! Its vicious around here, no matter what!

Question, what is the allotted time for each pick again?
