I do like the idea of going after Justin Schultz. He had very good numbers last year and would be a decent alternative for the Shat loss. Colton Parayko is another possibility.

Pierre LeBrun on TSN: max the Devils were willing to go on a Shattenkirk deal was 4 or 5 years. Didn't want to spend big & regret it later.

Until next year, he will retire from that contract and come back to the NHL lol.
