The organ player works at William Paterson University where I go to school. I think he's a tech guy, I've talked to him a few times and he's a really nice guy, anyway cool read.

Badass.
-
Definitely can't happen. There have been some very nice people who very forcefully were explaining why so many hockey insiders had no idea what was going on. Even a 1% chance of this happening is too great a percentage to peg on it.
Damn you Potvin for leading us on like this!
-
Kovalchuk in a Devils uniform? Never gonna happen.
-
Call me a conspiracy theorist BUT...hear me out. Remember how when Zubrus was injured Lemaire was all "Oh man woe is me, I need another defensively responsible center." So Zubrus comes back and what happens? Lemaire plays him at RW with Zajac and Parise instead of at center where we were clearly hurtin. So why would he do this??? Hmmmmm??? Well let's think about it for a while, Lou and the Devils have clearly been in the run for Kovalchuk longer then any of us have realized, hell even when Potvin said on XM radio straight up "Have you heard Kovalchuk is going to the Devils?" People on this board still understandably had their doubts. What I'm trying to say is I think Lou has been in the hunt for Kovie (yes we can call him Kovie now) longer than anyone has realized, classic Lou. So when Zubrus was ready to play Lou probably called up Lemaire and their conversation went a little something like this:
Lou- "Hey Jac, there's this dude in ATL, he's pretty good, Ilya something-or-other. I was thinking of acquiring him and if I do then he's gonna need a good center to play with and since Zajac is our only really good center let's see how Parise does with our other players."
Hence the ZZZ line was born and it didn't disappoint, Zubrus and Parise seemed to play well together, meanwhile Lou worked out a deal with ATL and we now have 2 elite left wings. Lou is a genius, and so the lines will probably look like this.
Kovalchuk-Zajac-Langenbrunner
Parise-Zubrus-Elias
Rolston-??-Clarkson
blah-blah-blah
Do you see the genius of Lou and Lemaire to see how well Parise could play with Zubrus on his line instead of Zajac. IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!!!!
Now if you'll excuse me I have to get rid of my Oduya Signature(thanks RD) and put tin foil on my head so that the government can't read my thoughts anymore. muwahaha!

fvcking splendid. Any faith that might have been lost in Lou Lamoriello because of his past few trades is now restored. LGD!
-
If it doesn't happen tonight then everyone needs to sleep with their pajamas inside out and with a spoon under their pillow.
-
Pass. It would take a lot more then Mottau (who is set to become a FA this summer) and a 2nd to get Ribiero. David Backes FTW!
-
Should be interesting to see Rick Nash on a less defense oriented team. They have a descent team over in Columbus.
-
Maybe we could do a package deal and snag a Defenseman and Belanger.
-
Lou...Busy Jersey Shore!!
Pierre McGuire....SHOUTING
-
Єklund (2.3% accurate) (2.3% accurate) just said the Devils are in on Kovalchuk.....so this rumor appears to be false.
-
I just found it. It's at the end of the interview: "By the way, did you hear that Kovalchuk is going to the New Jersey Devils?" Didn't sound like speculation to me.
Yeah, very interesting. Potvin sounded very sure of himself when he said that, too bad they ended the interview with after that statement.
Also TG says everyone was on the ice for the skate today.
-
I think the show has a facebook page -- XM Hockey This Morning. They may have put the audio up there.
Yeah they uploaded all of their show onto their facebook page, I'm listening now.
-
The morning skate should be happening right now, let's see if TG reports anyone missing from the ice.
-
this isn't going to make the Rangers a much better team, offensively they're probably good for more goals but idk how well Jokinen plays in his own zone but I'd have to guess that he's not the most responsible center.

Some guy from the Wall Street Journal gets in net and has Marty give a few pointer, pretty cool.
-
Sorry Marty, you can't play as many games consecutively as you have while being pulled twice and letting in some questionable goals without people starting to wonder if you're fatigued or not. Doesn't matter if you're 37 or 22, people are gonna start to wonder.

this was my post in the other thread, but since this trade has its own now, i'll just restate it here:
will giguere effectively become the starter in toronto or will he be a 1A/B? gustavsson hasn't been spectacular, but i thought they still were hoping he could develop into a formidable starter. is giggy okay with taking on mentor role or is he starter or bust? i mean...he was all kinds of pissed when he lost the job in anaheim.
Yeah you're right, Giguere is right back in the same position he was in last year. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.
-
I'd take phaneuf if it meant we were giving up virtually nothing, but we know that wouldn't be the case.
-
Souray has 1 pp goal this season as opposed to Bergfors who has what? 7? 8? I'd take Souray but he's not worth Bergfors. I'd give up Halischuk.
-
4. John Madden looks like a muppet.
Haha I've always thought he resembled some sort of muppet.
-
Keep in mind that Lemaire has YET to coach a 100% healthy team this season, I'm sure the final stretch will see lines that will stay together for the playoffs.
-
So is that Lou unofficially officially saying that Cormier will not be playing in the AHL this season?

I'm up at school in Wayne and it doesn't look like we got any snow whatsoever. Weird.
