I think it's too early in the season to tell. Wait until the Olympic break and then we can get a more accurate read on who the best player on our team is.

It will probably look something like this to start off:
ZZ Pops
Elias-Zubrus-Bergfors, This line will last for a little while until Zubrus fizzles out like he did last season.
Rolston-Nidermayer-Clarkson
Pandolfo-Pelley-Halischuk
Elias will probably play on the second line PP on the right side with Zubrus in the middle and Bergfors on the left.

Whats funny is, I was watching the game from a Panthers stream and the announcers were saying it shouldn't have been a penalty because Salvador is a veteran and "shouldn't have put himself in that position to get hit like that".
That's a dumb statement to make.

I wanted to go to a Devils/Flyers game in Philly, but after watching this and also being harassed at the Phillies game when I stupidly wore a Devils t-shirt I'm not so sure I want to go.
Don't go...unless you're a body builder/black belt in some sort of martial art.

Part of having a good offense is having a center who is great defensively because then he can make it easier for the wingers to break out, this is why the ZZ pops line is so great. And by the looks of our center I'm not too worried about any of them, idk about how Elias will do though, we shall see.

Interesting comments about Pikachu (I'll learn to spell his name before October is over) The one game I saw him play in I wasn't too impressed but I guess there's something there that we aren't seeing yet. Lou seems pretty high on him

Parise just got a little bit more dangerous....awesome. I always thought he had an above average shot, he had some nice snipes last year hopefully we see him picking corners even more this season.

Can't wait to see our defense jumping into the plays more often, Paul Martin started doing it during the playoffs and he looked like a true offensive defenseman.

also lou should claim cal o'reilly from nashville and give him a shot.
Yeah he seems like a descent pick up, 3rd line center/ able to fill in on the 2nd line from time to time. It would be a welcomed addition in my opinion.
Also good for Halischuk, I've been a fan of his and hope to see what he is all about.

Well our defense if just as good if not better(more experience) than last season, that can only be a good thing since we had one of the top rated D's in the league. Our offense probably dropped off a bit but I don't think it will be too significant since Clarkson and Rolston should have better years this time around. Also from the looks of preseason our Power Play should be substantially better which is awesome since it was a joke last year and hopefully our PK is better this year now that we have a full season of Shanny and we get to see what Rolston is all about. I'm not too worried about this season.

I wonder if Fraser will get a chance to make the team or if he'll be cut? He must be doing something right since he's still up here.

Good to hear, I know he's been kind of quiet points wise although I'm to the understanding that he hasn't been receiving much ice time. I'm happy for him though hopefully his confidence is up and he will put up more point and see more ice as a result.
