  1. Hey look, I love Stephane Richer the hockey player - and yes, he did help us win a Cup...but I am talking about him living and leading a lifestyle with absolute certain eternal consequences. For his sake, if it is indeed true, I hope he gets some help. That's all.
  2. Bigotry? What are you talking about? You have the wrong label there Puddy. I am no bigot.
  3. Yeah...the depression thing...but I was making note of the homosexual thing.
  4. If it is true, I sincerley hope Steph gets the help he so clearly needs in regard to changing his life and turning over a new leaf.
  5. Beyond a rumor...where is the factual proof of this?
  6. Two things: 1-The fact that Robbie Ftorek did not have "success", as defined by winning playoff rounds or the ability to last throughout an entire season in two instances, should not preclude anyone from thinking that he could have learned form his experiences and now realizes what he can/should do different the next time around. Certainly anyone has the ability to learn from their own history - Ftorek is not excluded from such a scenario. I feel that Ftorek does have the skills to become a very good coach...provided he is able to make certain adjustments. I do believe Ftorek will coach again on the NHL level - and it wouldn't shock me if that team turns out to be the Devils - or maybe next year in Columbus. 2-Can someone fill me in on the "Gay" issue with Pat Burns please? This is new to me.
  7. You make some very arguable points there, no question.
  8. Hey Jimmy...give it a break my friend - and grow up.
  9. The ONLY reason I give this report even a shred of truth, is that I know for a fact that Lou has always had a very soft spot in his heart of Ftorek - and it abslutely killed him to fire him when he did. That said, I go back to Lou's operating methods, and the fact that he does not allow emotion to rule his thinking - Ftorek is a prime example of that. I give it a 25/75 chance of happening.
  10. I don't know how long you've been cheering for the Devils, but under the Lamoriello watch so far as coaches are concerned, his motto seems to be; "what have you done for me lately?"
  11. Just concluded a conversation with a friend of mine from the St. Petersburg Times Arena in Tampa. I have no idea if/when this will be reported, howvere, my mole in the know is hearing that Lou Lamoriello will fire Pat Burns and promote Robbie Ftorek to head coach within the next two days. I remain skeptical, however, how ironic and a twist in reverse would this situation be, to the time when Ftorek himself was canned a few games before the post-season when the Devils won their 2nd Cup. I am certain Lou never allows emotion nor meloncholy thoughts to enter his head whenever he makes any kind of a decision, and I have a lot of doubt that he would feel compelled to allow Ftorek a shot a redemption for a failed effort a couple of years ago. Very interesting however...to say the least. Stay tuned.
  12. Rigth now in Jacksonville...however I'll be moving south of here very soon. www.dinocostashow.com
  13. Nice post guy...you remind me of one of my "good" callers.
  14. Don, are you just gonna sit there and take that from him?
  15. Don, you cannot be "that" sick of it...until you are sick AND "tired" of it. Then we'll feel your displeasure fully.
  16. RANGERS S-U-C-K! And they're on the golf course in a matter of days. And Holik has nothing else to do this season except count his empty millions. AND...Larry Brooks is again relegated to covering post-season NHL games at the Meadowlands and in Uniondale! Have I mentioned how much tonight's win must be gnawing at Mark (N)Єverson?
  17. Ahh yes, I'd be remiss...CONGRATS MARTY ON WIN # 400...now, since this milestone is now out of the way, can you please begin playing like a goaltender who will steal some games in the playoffs so we may celebrate another championship? Thank you.
  18. Obviously we're all happy DW...however you shouldn't want to excuse the fact that they were fortunate to win a game tonight against a much less inferior opponent - playing a very average hockey game to boot.
  19. DD, I never said he was an all-time great goaltender...clearly he is not even in the same galaxy as marty in terms of career accomplishments. I am saying right now, if I am building a team from scratch and you offer me one goaltender of my choosing I am taking Luongo. Then probably DiPietro before I ever considered taking Marty. Marty is an automatic hall of famer with the very real chance to perhaps surpass Roy as the winningest goaltender in NHL history. Right now at this second though, I'll take Luongo as the NHL's best netminder.
  20. If Marty faced as many shots every night in front of such a horrible defensive team as the Panthers are--there would be few singing his praises as the NHL's best goaltender. Luongo is better, quicker, better on rebounds. Put Luongo on the Devils this season and he'd have 40 wins already.
