  1. phillydev you are a herb and a disgrace. you are talking from outside of this fanbase by saying "you'll be lucky to make the playoffs...," obviously you are not a fan so get the fvck out.

and be proud to live in the sh!t whole of a city that is probably your hometown.

for christ sakes, why is anyone responding to this clown, especially me??

Listen to this sped coming at me. Buddy, you got nothing. You're a bum. Not that it matters, but I got more cash and game than your whole damn hick town. Go to sleep in your 1991 Honda. You got to stay sharp to flip those burgers.

  2. They should put STEVE BERNIER on the Cup too...

Smartest thing you've ever said. I hope Marty finds a new team. A team that actually gives their heart from the start. Or just retire. Either way he's going out on top. The Devils are done. Without Brodeur, you'll be lucky to make the Playoffs in the next 50 years.

  3. To all the Devs fans my posts are annoying, sorry. But from my first post, I've been taking high heat for being right. All these arse clowns do is disagree with me on everything - when I've been right all along. You'd think fellow fans would appreciate the insight and passion, but instead all I get are weak counter arguments that always seem to miss the point. And as for me saying there's an NJ in the Devils' logo. The guy who said he didn't see it sounded like he really didn't see it. Nowhere did he say LOL or indicate he was joking. And not everybody knows there's an NJ in the Devils' logo. That's like saying everybody has good grammar. It's false. Well, I'm not posting anymore until after Game 6. And if we lose, I'll just point to my locked thread Quicksand, which has told you so written all over it.

  4. This thread should probably be locked before things get really ugly

Why would it get ugly? All I did was share my opinions on the Devils and provide supporting facts as to why they're correct. But sorry for being right.

  5. I can say I'm a bagillionaire with fifty-seven wives over the internet too, that doesn't mean it's true. Fact is, anybody that claims they're a Devils fan and registers for a board in the middle of the SCF just to insult everyone on it is either a professional troll or has a screw loose. I don't really care which it is either.

First, I joined to show my support. Second, they started it. Third, while true, I don't live a lie. I am brutally honest. If I say I am this or did that, it's true. Not that you'd know. You don't know what it's like to be the best. It's lonely and no fun at the top. The only competition I have is myself. I'm incapable of feeling happiness and suffer severe depression. I'm a perfectionist and the world isn't. The worst feeling in the world is being right almost all the time, but because the people around you are lesser minds, they can't understand what you're saying and just write you off as crazy. Sometimes I wish I were generic and normal. Then I think about all the dumb things people say and do, and I'm okay with being different again a little longer.

  6. Some really bored people on the forums today.

Philly, you have a rousing impact in your first five days of posting. How about we dial back the posting level before we do it for you.

Better yet, how 'bout I just keep my comments to myself and stop posting? No matter how right I am I'm wrong here.

  7. Hahahahahahahahaha

Sorry haven't heard the whole "I get more hot chicks than you" retort in years. Never heard it on this board either.

Ah to be a teenager again when that was actually an insult.

Lol sorry I just got a good laugh.

Funny thing is those guys are lonely liars and I'm not.

  8. Not a challenge. He'd rather charge $100 an hour helping people install windows and get rid of malware through his "business"

    NOW that's time well spent!

That hurt. Just because I know more than anybody else and am cocky about it, doesn't mean I'm a con. That's what the other losers in my business do. I take great pride in maintaining a business of integrity and first-rate service. Just ask all my happy customers. Reinstalling Windows is always the last option, not first. I actually know the computer from A-Z, all the way down to the semiconductor level. I enjoy using my unmatched knowledge to FIX the problem.

  9. :hail:

    Quite frankly, you are....

THE MOST INTERESTING MAN IN THE WORLD!!!

Does your beard stop growing once it reaches the perfect length too?

Not to mention the most talented man there was, is, and ever will be. And I know you think we're just playing, but the truth is I've been completely honest about my skill-sets. So I guess what I'm trying to say is...you suck and I rule. Joke's on you. You should see how many messages I get from hot chicks in my inboxes. I'll share one with you now:

WOW! Can I just say you have the best profile I've ever read on here. I can't believe you are all those things. But if you really are who you say you are then you are going to make a woman very very happy. I wish I lived closer. :)

Last I checked this morning it was at 128 stalkers. I like to make women work for me. I love me.

  10. :giggle:

This guy is such a joke

I used to score 12 goals a game in roller hockey....

I was so good they said I can only play with a righty stick (I am a lefty)

They also said it was unfair to shoot on a goalie, so they sealed the covered the net in cinder blocks piled up. I still managed to score 8 per game

WOW you have a Brodeur jersey too?!?! AWESOME! Also, Brodeur's rookie card is from 90-91 score....

Good, you're paying attention. Was starting to think you were this dumb on purpose. Yes, it's 1990-91. It's gonna be worth six figures someday.

You should send this post to Lamoriello, since you are such a genius you will be immediately added to the coaching staff! Do it quick, they will get you on the next plane to LA to ensure your brain power is behind the bench for Game 6!

I guarantee you if I applied for a job with the Devs, they'd happily hire me.

  11. You b!tch about not taking high shots, then say take out the best shooter. You seem to think you're a genius, but miss more than Johnny Mac.

Actually, I am a computer genius. All I do is win. I've amassed over a million dollars in sports gambling over the last 5 years, thanks to huge futures bonuses. I've correctly called the Super Bowl champion 4/5 times (I was wrong about the Pats last year; guess they really were spies) and the Stanley Cup champion 5/5. And what's most amazing, I called the Saints, Packers and Bruins at the start of the season. All the rest I called at either the middle or end of the season, or beginning of the playoffs. Also, I won 4 golds and 1 silver in all five of my fantasy hockey leagues. But I don't play anymore. It's too time consuming. And I won plenty of medals and trophies from my goalie years. I also have an IQ of 188. So yeah, I am a genius, and when I talk, smart people listen. I'm the best at whatever I choose to be. Kovy is the best shooter right now when all the guy does is turn the puck over? Buddy, go watch cartoons. I kind of feel bad correcting you all the time.

  12. As I was walking out of the Prudential Center I encountered a big group of Kings fans, about 5 or 6 of them. I asked all of them just a simple question. I asked why did the Kings get rid of their purple and black jerseys early this year and only use the black and silver jerseys. (The Kings got rid of them early this season). I asked this because I always loved the black and purple jersey.

...and their answer was, "whats wrong with purple, you guys wear red why cant the kings wear purple, I love our jerseys and the black and purple jersey is awesome."

I then told them, "you know the Kings got rid of the jerseys early on this season...you guys don't even know that? I know more about your team then you do."

Their response was..."why cant we wear purple, we wore it all year".

So these "passionate fans" did not even know their team got rid of their main jersey. :doh1:

Biggest bandwagon fanbase I have ever encountered. These people do not even know what hockey is, and unfortunately a lot of them showed up at that game.

Dumb post. They didn't claim to be hardcore passionate Kings or hockey fans, mister I think I know hockey but am a telemarketer whose life's purpose is to try and sound forum cool. :doh1:

  13. Easier said than done about getting pucks by quick. Of course you try to shoot high on him and the devils knew this before the series started. The kings defense gave the devils very little room to do this and again elevating pucks while moving at high speeds is not an easy thing to do.

You also are the only one stating the obvious because by definition it is obvious and doesn't even need to be said.

Also banners dont get raised until the home opener of the following season.

Not really. All you do is shoot high. After much practice, it's like second nature. I used to do this when I played. I was a sniper who averaged 7 goals a game in roller hockey--and I was a goalie. And I was an even better goalie. I only played skater for fun. I was so good, when I was just 14, I played in men's leagues. At first they didn't take me seriously and just gave me the net. Two minutes and two perfectly placed wristers under the crossbar in the right corner later, and it's 2-0. After that they had to double-team me, but I still scored a few goals a game. So if I was so good, why'd I stop playing? Money. Goalie equipment is expensive; and you can't go to school, work, and play hockey. Coach doesn't wanna hear his star goalie can't play 'cause he has to bag groceries tonight. These are professional hockey players, not Peewees. Watch Games 1-3 and you'll see all the shots are low, mid-level, or just wide. I know when the banner is raised, but it sounded good.

  14. Kovy has been a non-factor this series. As other have pointed out, he was HUGE all playoffs long. An injured Kovy is still better than 99.5% of players in the NHL...

Can we ban this guy already? Obviously a Flyers/Rags fans, prancing around as a "Devils fan"....

Yes, you got me. I'm clearly a spy for another team. I only watch every Devs game I can, pointed out all their 2012 SCF mistakes, and have been a Brodeur fan since his rookie year in 1991. Oh, and let's not forget my Brodeur jersey, Brodeur PSA Gem Mint 10 Score 1990-91 Canadian rookie card, signed copy of "Brodeur: Beyond the Crease," and the many other Devils collectibles, from pucks to keychains. Anyway...

  15. So you're basically saying we should play our AHL lineup? Because no-one is 100% this time of year.

Sure, give a promising young stud a chance. Sometimes they're the key to success. Sure beats watching a limping Kovy out there who doesn't seem in the game. Sure all the guys are banged and bruised, but I meant their best health by 100%, not 100% fresh as a new car deodorizer. I think we can both agree that's not Kovy.

  16. The Kings have a strong game plan. There's a reason they're in the finals, and led this series 3-0 at after three games. You can say Captain Obvious things like "Devils need more shots, Devils need to get 45+ shots on net a game, blah blah blah", but the Kings make it very hard...they're very fast and react well, and don't give you much space or time to do a whole lot. The Devils have done a great job coping with it, despite looking like the slower team at times...I think they're doing the best that they can. They turned the puck over a bit too much last night, but expecting the Devils to be perfect every single night and play mistake-free hockey isn't realistic.

The big difference between this Devils team and more recent Devils playoff teams, is that when other Devil teams looked like this one has at times during this series, it tended to snowball and get worse. This team doesn't buckle...they find a way to hang in there. Part of it was fortuitous bounces last night, but LA has gotten their share of luck too.

I don't expect the Devils to play perfect hockey every game. I do, however, expect the coaches and players to be prepared BEFORE the SCF and the Devils to correct their mistakes the next game. The only reason the Kings were up 3-0 is because the Devils played to Quick's strength for those three games: low shots. You got to elevate the puck on this guy, and they should've known that from the get-go. Game 1 wasn't the first time these Devils saw Quick. You don't wait until Game 4 of the SCF to start chipping away at a goalie's weakness. If the Devils shot high, screened and bumped Quick, and had more rebounds and deflections, the 2012 Stanley Cup Champions banner probably would've already been raised at The Rock. Both teams have had lucky bounces and calls. That's not even an issue. If the things I said were so blatantly obvious, then why am I the only one who says them? Answer: because I'm the only one who sees them.

  17. Marty is the reason we won. Kovy is not very good. When Salvador is leading th team scoring in the Final and Voynov is leading the Devils with 2G, you know something is wrong here.

This. Marty is carrying this team on his back. Kovy has been a non-factor. Injury or no injury. I could score an empty net goal. If he really is less than 100%, bench him and give another guy a shot at SCF fame. Are you sure this is the superstar ex-Thrasher Kovy? Because I don't see it.

  18. Good game tonight. The D is still being too passive and allowing the Kings to walk in the slot and pick corners. Marty was saved by the post 2-3 times tonight. Great two-pad stack breakaway save by Marty. Marty has got to watch his weaker high-stick side. The Kings have been gunning for it and scoring there. We got a gift off the rare Quick slip up behind the net, but we still need more shots and one more goal a game to take some of the pressure off Marty. Keep those rebounds and deflections coming. If the Devils come back and win it in 7, it'll be the greatest comeback in NHL history. Just another achievement for Marty.

  19. If we score first tonight and win to make this series 2-3, I'm right back in the Devils' corner. Not because I go when the going gets tough, but because the Devils didn't come to play for three games, and I don't support the stupid.

  20. Hell ya dude I live in Philly too. There are very few things I hate more than flyers and phillies fans

The management that seems to purposefully bury the teams with constant poor player decisions. The coaches and their "how to create a winning regular season record but always lose the playoffs" mastery. The deplorable team names and uniforms. Seriously, the Flyers look like rotten pumpkins on ice. The players and their inability to win championships, no matter how close they get. Are these guys paid to throw games? Nobody could be this bad. And my favorite, the diehard fans and their persistent and idiotic "there's always next year" chant. I watch the Flyers and Eagles on TV just to watch them fall flat on their faces. It's the best in entertainment.

I've been a Brodeur fan since his rookie year in 1991. Not after he became a living legend. I love the Devils' logo. (If you look carefully, you'll see an NJ.) It's kinda abstract. I love the team colors. I love Lou. I love how Devils' management always picked regular players, not stars, nobody else did that won three Cups. I love how the Devils used to be a defense-first team and won three Cups using the frustrating Trap. I miss the Scotts helping Marty to greatness.

  21. I believe....theres no such thing!!!!

Wanna make a bet? I wore my Devils hat to the bank, and a Flyers fan wearing his hat passed me outside on the way and laughed. I said to him, "The only thing funny is your trophy case." There is nothing greater than being a hometown sports hater. This hatred extends to the Eagles, Phillies and Sixers. All natural born losers.
