I seem to have goaltending issues again. Huet has had a terrible start and I doubt he'll be getting much better this year. I'd like to acquire a good goalie, so feel free to propose trades. No one is untouchable on my team.

I think this might stop a handful of players from signing in the NHL during Olympic years. They might sign 1 year deals back home or in the KHL just to get the chance to play for their country. If Bettman makes this happen, it will just add to the mile long list of negative things he has done for the game.

Agree. Thing I don't get is why are the fish sticks playing the nucks. Isn't that quite a bit of travel for a pre-season game?

I'm set to take a vacation day on Wednesday to play the game all day. Demo is really solid and already traded in my NHL 09 about 3 weeks ago so I'm itching to play.

To me the game play feels a lot smoother over 09, and 09 was freakin awesome as it was. I love the board play in this one and how you can push off and poke at the puck. I think the after the whistle scrums will get a little tiring though in online play. I also like the decisions you can make on injuries, if you should still play the person or not. I'm sure there's more additions that aren't in the demo yet as well.

I think Tampa should run a world class conditioning program and plan on using the top 2 lines for 59 minutes per night.
I don't see why not, they pretty much did that against us back in 2007 with just Vinny and St. Louis. I swear they were never on the bench for that series at all. So they have to have a that program in storage somewhere.

Another thing my wife pointed out was that during the games the fans volume actually goes up and down. After the whistle you start a small scrum and the fans start getting into it, but as more and more players start a scrum the fans get louder instead of having it stay at one level. Thought that was kinda cool.
Side note - I keep getting a "Disc read error" at times when trying to play the demo. Which doesn't make sense because it's all on the HD. Any thoughts?
