  1. Stamkos to Devils? (e3)

According to sources within the Tampa Bay Lightning organisation, the New Jersey Devils are willing to part with C Bobby Holik and a rusty zamboni to obtain the services of C Steven Stamkos. Remember, you heard it here first!

I could see Holik but that zamboni has history. I call this rumor BS.

  2. Osgoods GAA is over 4.00 last I checked. That won't get them far in the playoffs. Conklin is not playoff tested and I think going up against the Sharks would get exposed. Face it, he's a backup on any other team. Saying that, I don't think they would want Clemmer or Weekes and think they'd be looking more towards Boston for goalie help.

  3. Had a trade offered to me, we're in a keeper league where we can keep 7 players at the end of the season.

Here's my 7 keepers as of right now -

    Gaborik

    Savard

    Spezza

    Lecavalier

    Campbell

    Green

    Thomas

    Non Keepers

    Jason Blake

    Travis Zajac

    Tom Gilbert

    Joe Corvo

    Andy Macdonald

    Ales Hemsky

    Chris Mason

    Pekke Rhinne

    Got offered -

Backstrom (Goalie), Eric Staal, Lubomir Visnovsky a 2nd and a 3rd rd pick for Green, Savard and my 1st rd pick.

Thing is if I took that deal then I'd have to drop one of my 7 keepers in the off season for nothing pretty much.

    My analysis

Visnovsky (when not gimped) is a keeper who can put up 50pt seasons from the blue line.

Staal is a stud and younger than Savard and can score more goals than Savard.

Backstrom is in the last year of his contract and is he really that good, or is it the defensive style they play in Minny (see Fernandez and Roloson.)

Green - Is he really this good?

Savard - 80 pt per season guy, on a team that is 1st in the league.

Or should I just stay with what I have and hopefully pick up a decent goalie in the 1st rd of the draft next year?

It's weird how in fantasy hockey you grow attached to your players.

  4. I jizzed my pants when I heard the news. I'm so excited.

The award that presented was the "Best Rock Album" award. How did Metallica lose? And since when is Coldplay considered Rock? Ugh.

You don't remember when Metallica lost to Jethro Tull?

  5. Eh, I can care less either way. I am a PC gamer. I wouldn't give the time of day to a console jockey.

Are you seriously trying to grow your e-peen by bragging that you're a PC gamer? Have fun playing WoW in your parents basement till you're 40 and die from being morbidly obese.

  6. Because he is a whiney little girl. I know people here dont like DR.com but the whole reason he left was because all he does is trash the Devils when they lose and when they win complain that they didnt play better. If the Devils are down in a game 1-0 or 2-0 ITS OVER, WE ARE GONNA LOSE!!!! People just got tired of it so he left. Now as you can see he is gracing this place with his presence and like I posted earlier, some things never change. Just ignore him, he isnt worth wasting your time on. Any one playing NHL today?

I'm in for a couple if we can get 1 or 2 others to commit as well.

  7. With Crosby out, Ovechkin will move to the top line. So, Kovalev-Malkin-Ovechkin is the top line. I think Heatly-Lecavalier-Kovalchuk is the second, Carter-Staal-Parise, St.Louis-Savard-Vanek.

That 4th line would be deadly. I hope we get the chance to see that.

My ideal lines out of those players would be -

    Parise-Lecavalier-Ovechkin

    St. Louis-Savard-Vanek

    Heatley-Malkin-Kovalchuck

    Kovalev-Staal-Carter

  8. CAKES and I played 2 games last night. Lost the first one 5-2 against a team of 5 players all 99's. CAKES had a goal and an assist. 2nd game we won 4-2. I had 2 goals and 1 assist.

Anyone up for a few games tonight around 9 or so?

  9. Lazy player? I seem to recall Marty saying he was the best forward in the league a year or two ago.

"He's the best player in the league," Devils goalie Martin Brodeur said of Lecavalier. "He got a couple of quality chances and beared down on it."
