Several people on the ESPN broadcast tonight talking about Brad marchand as a surefire Hall of Famer. Not sure I necessarily disagree, but if you put him in, you have to put Elias. They have nearly identical stats. Elias actually has the slight edge. 1,294 games, 1,040 pts for Marchand, 1,2040 games 1,025 pts for Elias. 50 less games and only 15 less points. 3 cups for Elias, and played in arguably a slower/less offensive era.
*2 Cups

Trust me when I say I'm as cynical as anyone here on this forum after this past dumpster fire of a season, but I think Luke and Nemec are about as close to sure things as you can get when it comes to prospects.
They both showed they have the goods this season. Just need the right coach, and the right pieces around them now.

Now Fitz can go ahead and inform Green he’s not getting the job so he can go join Ruff’s staff.

Green couldn’t even find a way to squeak out a WC birth despite getting stabilized goaltending, and a star forward playing absolutely out of his mind for the last 6 weeks of the season. Not to mention just how pathetic all the teams they were actually competing against for that WC2 spot were.
There is no world where he should be a serious candidate.

Ullmark is a beneficiary of being on Boston and I don't see him being nearly as dominant without a strong coach, responsible D play, and system around him.
He was always pretty good in Buffalo despite being on some truly terrible teams.
.912 sv% in 112 starts.

The good thing about Ullmark is that it’s obvious Swayman is Boston’s guy moving forward so that puts more leverage in Fitz’s hands. Therefore, if Saros or Askarov are both truly unattainable for one reason or another, Ullmark should come incredibly cheap.
But the thing is you need 2 quality goalies these days. I seriously doubt they would just give him away.

I’ve wanted Ullmark since he was in Buffalo. I’d definitely be happy about landing him.

Hard to call a 20 goal season a complete disaster. Now, it would be nice to see him get his point totals up a bit, but he just doesn’t seem like he’ll ever be a big assist guy. Not sure his drive is really an issue either though. Not when he scores pretty much all of his goals from the dirty areas.

Good maybe they can turn him into a man finally
What a weird comment. Dude literally has as iron man streak of 246 games (plus playoffs) going, and we’re questioning his toughness?
