According to TSN.ca:

Sabres' Zhitnik and Drury sidelined

TSN.ca Staff

The Buffalo Sabres playoff chase has hit a snage as centre Chris Drury and defenceman Alexei Zhitnik are both sidelined with injuries.

Drury will be sidelined at least a week due to concussion-like symptoms after being injured in Monday night's game against Toronto. All players are forced to sit out at least seven days when they experience those symptoms.

Zhitnik, who has been out for the past week after getting run into the boards by St. Louis Blues forward Dallas Drake, will miss the rest of the regular season due to a broken bone in his right shoulder. The severity of the injury wasn't discovered until the MRI results were released today.

After losing in overtime to the Maple Leafs Monday -- the club's third straight overtime loss -- the Sabres sit four points behind the New York Islanders for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Keep in mind folks, this injury happened BEFORE the deadline. Just something to think about.

From NHL.com

"Zhitnik originally injured his shoulder after he was checked from behind and into the boards by St. Louis forward Dallas Drake on March 7."

Good thing we didn't pick him up either. So basically most of the options we had, are injured. So even if we did trade for someone on the deadline, we'd be where we are anyway minus a draft pick and/or prospect.
