SatansDevils
Well first place is good... Also good seeing the Mets at the bottom. For now. Anything can happen late in the season as we all saw last season. The mets will eventually turn their season around and win late in the season to win the NL East. That sure looks and sounds familiar like the Phillies did last season plus a lot of help from the Mets collapse. Phillies are playing well as of late and it will be hard to keep that up all season as we all know it is a long season. Better to peak at the end of the season than right now. It sure hurt the mets last season and the Phillies came on at the right time last season at the end so I think the mets will do that late in the season. I hope. You think the Mets can find some heart by then? I have my doubts.

O yeah anything is possible after last season. I think the chances of a collapse like that two years in a row would be unlikely. Hey I wouldn't mind seeing the Mets get close so we can have an entertaining summer. I wouldn't mind talking some smack in September about who is going to win the division. I think we can both agree on hoping the Braves don't win it or these pest's called the Marlins.

Verran12
Well heres a little stat for you. Last year it seems the Phillies were way out all year long. According to ESPN.com on this day last year the Mets lead the division (36-28) by 2 games over the Phillies (35-31). Now this year the Phillies lead the division(41-28) by 4 games over the Marlines(36-31) 7.5 over the Mets(32-34). New Year and I just don't see the Mets winning it, sorry. You guys seem to not be making any progress. I don't think the Marlins will last all year. And I think the Phillies will stay somewhat consistent. The race may get closer but I just don't see. Anything can happen though, I just thought that was interesting. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/standings?date=20080614
