Ha Ha Ha. I'm not a stalker! I was just wondering if he was there since he is a part of the team and it was a hockey related event. I'm not scoping out where he goes on the weekends in his off time.
  2. Yeah I meant one of those "X is now friends with Y" type things. I hate these new "like" comments they are so dumb. Stop making fun of me! I guess I just don't like getting caught being a creeper. It doesn't help that waaaay back last year when I first hung out with him I may have used the poke feature on facebook in a drunken state thinking it would be hilarious. Hmm perhaps he will talk to me. That would be fun, but I'm more leaning toward a "WTF. what a weirdo" and not care reaction.
  3. Because he's not the type of friend I would click "like" on a comment of. We're not really friends. We hung out once last year drunkenly at a friend's party. Plus, it wasn't status update, but a new friend request I accidently clicked like on soo it makes no sense whatsoever.

Haha Martin looks so casual for the event. I heard Parise was there too - or is that a lie?
  5. NOOOOOOO. But I quickly clicked unlike! WTF that is so lame that facebook does that. I'm just going to pretend I have some weird facebook virus. Or I should just defriend him. Obviously I need to stop freaking out.
  6. Aghhh I was looking at this guy's facebook page who I think is cute (how very 6th grade of me. I know. ) and I was half watching tv/half paying attention to what I was doing on fb when I look at the screen and I see I clicked a stupid "like" button under one of his comments. I nearly had a heart attack until I realized I could just click unlike. Phew. That would have been so terrible.
  7. I'm not gonna lie... graduating college sucks. I wish I could go back and relive those four years. I had it so easy and I took it for granted. I'd even take American Business History over again if I could go back. (and that was torture.)
  8. How old is Jr. High?! 13? Chili and diapers is as fun as it sounds.
  9. Yes, it was one of those kids in a car with the huge "student driver" sticker on it. The daycare where I am currently employed Mondays, Weds, and Fridays hires back college students in the summer. This sucks for me since I was told when they come back I am not guaranteed my hours. If I get to work and they are overstaffed then I'm sent home. Monday one of the older women I work with was asking me if I was done with school and where I go. I explained I graduated two years ago, but will be starting grad school in the fall. She apologized for thinking I was younger. Then the college girl exclaims, "OMG you're TWENTY FOUR I thought you were younger than me! You look like you're graduating junior high!" Then I had to listen to her go on and on and on and on about all the handles of liquor she is buying for this weekend. And the "best frat party" ever she went to two weeks ago. Then she started complaining about how she was told they MIGHT have to cut down on the returning college kid's hours and she said, "If they're going to cut any of my hours. I'll just quit. This is just my little summer job." I wanted to punch her in the face after 8 hrs. Plus she's lazy and did nothing. I changed all 12 kid's diapers TWICE that day and cleaned the kitchen after lunch (they had chili for lunch btw so that was extra fun) UGH You don't necessarily have to start off the convo with the "I think you're really pretty, nice/funny" (although those are all flattering things to say). You could just ask her if she wants hang out sometime this weekend. Good luck, let us know how it goes!!
  10. A student driver almost hit me today on the parkway. He had NO idea what he was doing. Who tries to change lanes when a car is right next to them?! I know you're just learning to drive, but simply looking next to you would give you a clue that it might not be a good idea to switch lanes. My best friend might be moving to Chicago for a job. I am happy for her, but sad she will be moving that far away. (Right now she's only in Boston and it's not too long of a trip.) We're both hockey fans (she's a Rangers fan) so I told her she needs to go to the Blackhawk's fan convention in July if she's up there so that she can get autographs for me. She told me I should just go with her, but I feel weird. I mean, I'm not really a blackhawks fan. My motives for going are purely shallow. haha.
  11. I like it, but then again I generally like this genre of music.
  12. Well then.... I absolutely cannot root for the Pens. I hate them. I absolutely cannot root for the Canes. Whoever wins that battle I don't care. I want the Hawks to win it all.
  13. I knooow. I would feel really really sick. I can't decide who I dislike more... I wish there was a way they could both lose. But I think I want the Bruins to lose more. I hate Boston fans. Half of the people I went to college with that are all into the Bruins this year are just in it because they're good this year. They have no idea about hockey. That annoys me.
  14. All true, but it's not like we are the ones who are "firing" him or "cutting" him. He's taking himself out of it and if he doesn't want to be here in NJ then why would we want him. I'd rather him just be upfront and honest and make his decision already so we can move on and start thinking about who will fill his spot. It's not like Sutter is the end all be all. I am confident we can find someone good to coach this team. I'd rather have someone new than someone who isn't thrilled with his job or think he can do a great job anymore. I'm not blaming Sutter for the Devils piss poor effort in the playoffs, but I don't like his attitude about coming back.
  15. Hahah.. ohhhhh no. Also, Keith Jones has definitely dyed his hair.
  16. My dad got his letter yesterday and he got "Two club seats with exclusive Platinum Lounge access for a game". I believe that was his 2nd or 3rd choice.
  17. I'm annoyed at Sutter quite frankly. What is this "blah blah blah I haven't made a decision.. only been home on the farm for a week... blah blah blah... we'll see.. I'm not saying either way. There's no timetable..." SHUT UP. If you want to leave then leave. You're on contract what I'd like to hear from you is, "Can't wait to get back at it next year. We're going to work on some things and be even better" and at least sound a little bit excited (oh yeah never mind you always sound like someone killed your dog.) Whatever if you want to leave and go home to the farm then just do it. UGHHHHH.
  18. I obviously don't love any team as much as I love the Devils. As far as these playoffs go ...the only team I don't dislike/have any negative feelings towards is the Hawks. Plus I weirdly really like Toews, Sharp, Versteeg and Burish. haha I'm half watching the Bruins/Canes game right now and did I hear one of the commentators say something like, "If you saw him without any clothes on you'd think there was no way he is an athlete." Whaaat?
  19. Hey hey heyyyy haha! That's persistence. No worries though I'm not about to go friend every Toews on fb to become BFF with him.
  20. Ughhh yet another show that makes New Jerseyians look trashy. Show on E! called "Jersey Shore Unleashed" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMpyZDshNT0
  21. Umm soo I friend requested Jonathan Toews on facebook. He has not accepted. Booooo to him. I had to take all of the clothes out of my closet because my cheap plastic hangers were causing these weird shiny white marks on my clothes. I am a bit of an organized neat freak and it is driving me crazy to have my clothes all over my floor until I can get out to buy new hangers/reorganize my clothes. I've had so much sugar/junk in the past three days in celebration of my birthday. Unhealthy, yes, but cold stone ice cream cupcakes are delicious. 24 sounds so old. I guess I'm actually in my mid-20s now. Blaaaaaah. (I know. I know. It's not that old, but I was calling this birthday the 3rd anniversary of my 21st. hee.)
  22. C'mon I'm not THAT conservative... Sadly, there are no pictures. This was freshman year of college before everyone had a digital camera.
  23. Jello wrestling is kind of fun actually.
  24. Well, living without healthcare coverage isn't an ideal situation, but it won't be too horrible and it would only really be for the summer until you see what happens in Sept. I have never worked in community relations before, but I can tell you from my experience as a communications/PR intern that it was definitely a lot of office work. It was a lot of administrative duties - helping the higher ups with travel arrangements, photocopies, making booklets, filing, scanning etc. etc and also a lot of the boring ground work for PR campagins - media "monitoring", summarizing daily news articles relating to the client, media audits, research and more research, results reports. It was a good learning experience though. It was definitely a cubicle job and typically the hours in PR/communications are crazy. I typically worked 8:00 - 6:30 and a lot of my friends who are still in PR work crazy hours too. It's the nature of it since things are always happening and it's all about keeping your client happy. I'm still thinking about trying to get back into it, but I'm also sort of starting down the path of getting my M.Ed. in Counseling.
  25. Hmm, yeah that is a tough decision because of the benefits. I would say take the internship if it's offered. It IS paid (and maybe you could work out buying some individual health coverage. I don't know much about how much that usually costs since luckily enough I'm STILL on my mom's plan as an extended family member, but I have a few friends who have done it) and it's a way to get your foot in the door. I'm not sure what kind of internship this is, but I know for PR an internship is an excellent way to get started and get in. Plus, as I'm sure you know, it's always good to have internships on the resume for experience. Hopefully in Sept. there will be more jobs opening up and the internship will only help you stand out against other applicants. Also, you never know, they could hire you on after your internship is over.
