Chris Minard picked up right where he left off last season with the Alaska Aces. Just 38 seconds into our season and home opener tonight, Minny notched his first assist by digging a puck from the corner and centering the puck to a streaking Barrett Heisten. Then in the second period, he scored the GWG on the PP in typical Minard fashion, right in front of the net, with the assist from Heisten. As much as I want Chris to succeed and move on to bigger things, it sure is nice to have him on our side!!

I hate that Minard didn't stick. But I am not disappointed to be getting him back in an Aces sweater!! I have enjoyed the updates from some of you and the site overall, although I've just been loitering mostly!!

Albany got on the board first when rugged winger Mike Sgroi opened the scoring at 17:05 of the first period with the lone assist going to center Chris Minard.

I think his new agent cleaned him up a bit!

I'd like to get some info from anyone attending camp as well, especially on how Chris Minard may be doing. We will miss him up here in Anchorage.

This guy is a fave here in AK! Keep me up to date on his camp prgress, very interested in how he does. Gomer was really impressed with his ability to finish.
