Trenton Transactions 11/10/08 - Wow...Busy day

Well not a good day again roster wise, they got burned by exposing Judy to waivers for absolutely no reason. I'm shocked another team hadn't done it up until now. He'll never play for Wheeling but now they can just suspend him and smile about screwing us. Really terrible move on the T-Devils part. They had him on the roster last week and he didn't play in 2 games so why now, they were counting on and needed him for this weekend.

Torti also done for the season. Tough year for him, Poli and Burton basically we're all done before they even got started.

WAIVER CLAIMS:

Wheeling:

Tim Judy, D from Trenton

Trenton:

Delete Matt Torti, D transferred to the 30-day IR

T-Devils bring in Mike Wilson on the blueline he's played 300+ NHL games but way back in the mid-90's. Can't hurt, especialy when Dyment took a pass on making the trip to wheeling for the weekend which sucks.

Mike Wilson

Well, it sounds like he can still play. Paul Roper just said he put a big hit on one of the Wheeling players.

Caruso is in, hopefully this motivates Coleman into picking his game back up. Also hoping they move Effinger for a defenseman.

03/05/2009 Dave Caruso (G) Lowell DEL Loaned to Trenton (ECHL)

Wow. Well, if Davey gets a win, that will make a HUGE difference to him. The L-Devils play like $#!+ when he's in net for them, so it has been almost impossible for him to win in the AHL. But don't be too quick to dump Charlie, let's see how Coleman and Caruso do. The T-Devils by rights should "hide" Charlie by loaning him to Lowell to chase after loose pucks at practice. ;)

Anyway, best of luck to the T-Devils this Friday night in Charleston!

Caruso back to Lowell after really struggling on Saturday and that's being kind. Could just be on paper I guess to free up the spot for Stoesz.

Stoesz sent to Trenton without ever dressing for the L-Devils.

03/10/2009 Myles Stoesz (LW) Lowell DEL Reassigned by New Jersey (NHL) to Trenton (ECHL)

03/09/2009 Dave Caruso (G) Lowell ADD Recalled from loan to Trenton (ECHL)

Also Clemmer might be sick/hurt and they may want a backup up in Lowell just in case.

Wasnt Clemmer supposed to start a game but after warmups Frazee started instead?

Cormier was sent back up to Lowell late last night. Not what we wanted to hear in Trenton.

In the end a Stoesz for Cormier deal for Trenton, not good imo.

Cohen was sent back down which is great news and they also signed Scott Erickson a defensemen from UCONN.

With Dyment back as well knock wood but we head into the big 3 in 3 weekend with the closest thing we're going to have to a full lineup.

Trenton:

Add Kevin Cormier, F assigned by Lowell (AHL)

Add Nathan Perkovich, F signed contract

Delete Nathan Perkovich, F placed on the 3-day IR

Delete Mike Wilson, D placed on the 3-day IR

Playoff rosters were do today at 3:00, 23 man limit including IR spots.

Cormier makes sense against Elmira, might as well dress your best heavyweight. Stoesz has proven his skills are no better. Perkovich is a 8th Rd Devils pick big kid 6'5" 195. Not sure he'll see any time coming in this late but you never know.

Well, now, that's good news, they're giving you Corms and not taking away anybody! Since Lowell didn't have any reserve defensemen, and isn't taking anybody from youse, maybe Corrente will be back for the final 3 games. I think Murphy was the healthy reserve forward who will take DiSalvatore's place. Not that the wins matter, but playing with a short roster is really hard after a full season of wear & tear.

It also means Kleinendorst isn't planning to let Cormier out to play Friday night versus Hartford, probably a good idea after what happened to Corrente and poor Sal.
