meliss26
Just wondering if anyone has heard if Ken Dano's # will be retired. When do you think this will happen. Do you think they'll have a short ceremony before a game?
Weekes Head
All we can do is speculate; there's been no announcement that his number will be retired, but at the same time, #3 has yet to be issued this season (granted, a player with a higher number who has impressed might get the number when the rosters are reduced), so who knows. The board seems pretty split - some say his number should, without a doubt, be retired, while others think maybe a ceremony should be held to honor his career and nothing more. We'll see what happens, but none of us know right now what will happen.
lgmamazin
Good Point. the best i can guess is that it will be retired, but only a guess i say
M.
Lou spoke at the fan club meeting. He said something along the lines of numbers being retired means that you won't ever see it on the ice anymore. There will be something, but don't expect to see a retired number. Nieuwy25
Maybe they'll do what someone on here suggested - hang a #3 banner, but not retire the #. If Lou's set against retiring #s, then I think that would be the next best thing.
