  1. https://twitter.com/Guadana5/status/1615009077314068484 #81 is Gritsyuk
  2. this was the post that’s apparently drawn the ire of my small ego friend. this place is fun. About Gritsyuk. I have some worries about his NHL readiness as 5vs5 positional player in defensive zone. I think he should start from the limited minutes, but will definetly help with second PP brigade. May be good third line center like Haula(or Henrique, who knows) can help.
  3. 20 points in 21 last games from Gritsyuk. Super dissapointing.
  4. Gritsyuk has 29 points in 49 games this season as 21yo player. He has very slow start, but now he has 18 points in the last 19 games. Gritsyuk has 28 points in 39 games previous season as 20yo player. Marchenko has 28 points in 41 games as 20 yo player. He has 20 points in 39 games as 21 yo player. Kuzmenko has 25 points in 45 games as 21 yo player. He has 15 points in 34 games as 20 yo. Khusnutdinov has 27 points in 47 games as 20 yo player. For example guys like Soschnikov and Prokhorkin didn`t built NHL career, so it`s not guarantee. But it is clearly good result. Like Maddog said, he)and his team) has very slow start. Now he has 19 points in his last 20 games. And even without that 29 points in 49 games is good result for 21 yo player.
  5. Should be great when Mercer will be ready enough to play regular top-6 role, but, like I said, someone should make a dirty work. Sharangovich is very streaky and his 10 goals as bottom player for 40 games is good result. I think when he will be on again, it will help to win games easily. And of course if Devils as organisation wants to win more against better teams, they should find better players for Nico and Jack who can make dirty work and score goals on more consistent basis. I think Mercer has big potential for that(I`m not a fan of his positional play, but I think may be even in his borders he can be good contributor on Nico line, may be he will be better player without the puck with time and will play strong on the Jack`s wing regulary), other than that... Gritsyuk is a scorer, but he is offensive first player, Holtz is a good shooter\passer, but his game without the puck, especially defensive game is bad in the moment of time. Foote isn`t fast enough to play Ruff`s game as top-6 F, Thompson? I think injuries ruined his development. Fitz still has something to work on(and don`t have 'insurance" center), but it`s great to see succesful team. Vegas missed playoff because of injuries of best players last year, Colorado has the same problem this year, I don`t how bad their situation is, may be they will figure it out.
  6. It`s harder to win without secondary scoring. Especially against stronger("slower") teams, that were faced by the devils in december.
  7. Sample size is 40 games - that`s all we have, Jack is playing well with Haula. If you want shot\situation stat you can check https://www.naturalstattrick.com/teamreport.php?team=N.J That will help you to see how lines act. Please don`t fiorget about ice time - lines with a couple of minutes doesn`t bring a lot in full picture. Good luck. Hope, you will start to recognize something and don`t be the guy who is always trying to argue and be the douche of the world like every conversation should end like a rap battle. Let's admit that discussion of a homeless crazy and evil rapper with a small ego\dick is not the best picture to watch from the side for other readers. Good luck.
  8. I gave you a chart that confirms the eye test. And explains what is happening. This is literally what statistics exist for. I have an abstract question for you - how often do you go to a psychologist and what grades did you have in English and logic. Usually people with poorly developed speech and logical/logical way of thinking may well grow into an adequate personality, but they may experience some problems with consistent thinking. You are quite an emotional person, and you often get involved in disputes in which you are not only not well versed enough, but also cannot withstand discussions within the framework. Maybe it hurts your ego. And you have to be able to let go of such things. After all, it costs nothing, but in the end join people together. I noticed that you quite often participate in such obviously unsuccessful discussions for you, without having sufficient grounds for them. I think that a psychologist could help you with this for sure, at least it is part of their work, as far as I have heard. I`m not tellin you are psycho, please don`t understand me this way, I`m tellin that some strange thing triggers you and you are starting act like you are acting in those conversation. As if this is a personal dispute, and not a conversation on an abstract topic.
  9. lmao is the way of thinking that remove Haula from Jack line will make Jack life easier. Why they didn`t do that before? You are sitting there and smart enough to understand that, but they don`t? I'm sure they continue to act like this just to annoy really smart people. I think I have eyes to see how Jack`s line is working with and without Haula and how much work Jack should to carry the line by his own. So yeah, I think Haula is positive contributor for Jack, like Jack is a positive contributor for Haula of course, because he is Jack Hughes. And we are talking about goals for only. Shot stat and situation stat could bring much more space for situation, but I don't see the point of loading.
  10. When Haula in the ice - 60%+ of goals positive difference. "GuY cAn`T dO nOtHiNg!". May be someone should make dirty work to help other player to score. Even without scoring.
  11. Bardakov was injured, missed three weaks after recover, played few games and went on recover again, missed a month, and after return he scores in the first game.
  12. They are starting to understand the obvious. Jokes aside, if he can play center, it could be even better and more translatable on nhl level.
  13. Yeah, absolutely. Great you understand it. Do you?
  14. That was a bad unstructured games from most of the teams I saw that played against USA, not structured game from USA too. Run and gun. I`m not a fan, I love more defensive hockey. But I like how well Hughes feel himself in offensive hockey. Of course he should work on defensive side of the game. But I believe big part of his problems will fade when he will start to play on the left side and will cover the puck by the stick. Congrats with bronze!
  15. Great to read good words about Devils players. I don’t think he was not good on the boards. More over I think he is quite good for young player of his starting speed and skating. I don’t think he will ever be a really good skating forward, but I saw how good positionally he is as a player, he can lose something here and there, but he is where he actually should be. I think he should a player of the second wave or cycling. I don’t like decision to use him 5 min per game, it’s hard to learn from the bench, and I dont like idea to send him to the children league in Utica, he was too good to learn something new from there. There always a problem in gap between AHL and NHL for players who isn’t as good in 200 foot game and/or fast enough but talented enough. I like Holtz passing game, it’s sharp and fast, he can find an empty space on the ice. It should help him to build NHL career. Still a problem with his skating. It could ruin him to build NHL career. I would like to see more offensive zone starts with top six players from him.
  16. Haula can score - this is the only problem. Problems of Zacha are starting from his lack of scoring. If you don't understand, rewatch their games. And like I said, this topic is for prospects. Not for your own incorrect vision of nhl players.
  17. Vilen is flashy if we are talking about defensive and transition game. Great skating and positioning, far best player of the Finland, playing a lot of minutes. Same with Nemec, even with -3 he played a tonn, has 5 shots(most of the team) and there were no Slovakian players who could transit the puck as him. I like Luke. I'm very interested in his development. And I should say - he is a bad defenseman still. He made three four serious mistakes in the fame with Latvia. And he isn't really good positionally as defenseman in NCAA. I understand coaches are trying to use him as a first transition starter and Michigan capitalize it very well, but it will not work in NHL. Just let's stay patient with him, he needs some time with coaches and adapting period.
  18. Zacha is worser player than Haula now. Zacha is bad player and the most important thing - its not debate. The second important thing - he play on the second line, because bruins prospect pool is bad, the third important thing - its not a debate for prospect theard.
  19. No, I was telling about our previous ohl scout, who worked with Castron and was fired before 2022 draft.
  20. It was on OHL scout. I don`t know is it was the same guy who drafted Mcleod, Smith and Stillman. but he was fired some time ago.
  21. Wasn`t a fan of drafting him too. Nemec is very good this year on a bad team. But I still think Wright will turn into a very good NHL player. I just don`t think NJD is a good place for him. I really don`t like his board game, I think he can be productive winger but I don`t think he will be good two way winger, center spot is a better spot for him, he isn`t as fast and really good skater to be be really good skater, but his skills help him to be a good center. As many young players in modern era, he needs time. Look at Byfield, he isn`t NHL regular player still/
  22. I watched a couple of Games. They are just not good enough. Zetterlund and Holtz were better than AHL can give them, Clarke and Thompson are not better players on the ice. I`m not against to call up them, but I understand why Devs didn`t do it yet.
