Rock
CONFUSION REIGNS ON LOCAL NHL TV http://www.nypost.com/sports/rangers/29107.htm October 7, 2005 -- Hello darkness, my old friend. Opening night and a new national cable TV package, after an entire NHL season was lost, led to all kinds of neglect, hassles and confusion. Wednesday night, coverage of both the Devil and Islander openers was lost to local DirecTV subscribers when the home satellite distributor mistakenly blacked out both games. Meanwhile, after Wednesday's Ranger opener on Comcast-owned OLN, the network's new Monday and Tuesday night exclusive cable package, including a total of 13 Rangers, Isles and Devils' telecasts, will not appear in Cablevision's three million area homes unless an agreement between cable giants is reached. -Phil Mushnick
MantaRay
Love the cable cabals. Legalized drug lords protecting their turf.
mddevsfan
They blacked out the local coverage of the Caps game for me, too. DirecTV must have been all crossed up with their blackouts.
