As for Dano being a company man, I don't know about that, but I would put his love and hopes for the Devils up against anyone, even Chico. And I'm a big Chico fan! I never understand this. Daneyko played 18 seasons in NJ, he lives in NJ, the only reason he has the color job is because he is Mr. Devil, and he's expected not to be a homer? That makes no sense. If they wanted a non-homer, they'd have gotten someone from outside the organization. For me personally, I like our announcers to seem like they are on "our side". That's my problem with some announcers around the league, they can't wait to insult us or repeat 20-year old stereotypes. At least our guys are generally informed about the game and respectful of the other teams.
