With his positional game I don`t think he is nhler too. Not to good in own zone, not as flashy in offensive zone. I would trade both for Okhotiuk back.

If we will deleop him in NCAA for some years and AHL in some year, than it`s not a big problem. Plus we din`t know where he find himself - in defense or in offense. He is very good prospect to think that we will not find a plcae for him somewhere if the task will be to find a plcae for Casey.

Small size and his puck battle mechanics are the issues with his NHL potential. 8. Josh Filmon Scoring complimentary winger. Spent the season on the level of Geekie and Savoie. Has middle-6 potential as complimentary scoring winger. Needs to work on physical aspect of the game and add muscles. 9-10. Nolan Foote and Tyce Thompson. Both are having bottom line potential as complimentary scoring wingers. Foote is slow, but good as positional player, Thompson is a good skater but lack of good positional vision of the game. HM. Orlov, Clarke, Edwards, Daws, Karpovich have visible potential to be nhlers. Hameenaho should work a lot on his skating to be nhler, but if he will, he is good enough to be exited about. Misyul is mobile and big defensive defenseman, but his game with the puck under pressure is an issue. It’s too early to talk about Leddy, Barabosha and Cheslock. It’s too dangerous to talk about Stillman. I would say with Luke being NHLer soon, devils will not be the team with best prospect pool, sabres, coyotes, may be wild, may be ducks, may be Chicago(are we counting Bedard? He will play in NHL as Luke Hughes next season) have better prospect pools. We should start to formulate who is prospect and who is not for the beginning. Anyway Devils graduated a lot of NHLers, so it’s not a big problem, and even what we still have is a good amount of talent.

One more year. But with him I didn`t saw clear words about his future decisions. His coach and manager really likes him, so may be he will sign more years. But I believe he wants to travel and play here because we have no competition for bottom center role. And we don`t have any good forechecking player absolutely. May be he will sign another 2 years deal and will travel after Gritsyuk, who was clear about his career desicions and plans about developing like Kaprisov did.(Im not saying he is on level of Kaprisov, but he definitely very talenterd)

I believe he will taste the market, he is mobile two way defenseman. and if he will sign deal with us, he can play ahl and polish his game more. And it`s not like Devils are done with left side of defense. Bahl isn`t proven, he didn`t sign a deal at all for now, I believe he will, it should be 1-2 years deal. It`s not like we are done with it. He is in camp this summer btw.

Good deal as always. Fitz gives Nemec one more year to cook. Miller was decent in 3rd pair role. This is exactly what he will doing here as a partner for Bahl. And he is experienced enough to play second pair role if someone will get an injury. Nemec is the first guy to being called up. He was third best in preventing shots/chances/goals in Dallas. Played 17min per game. On he left side we have two good defensive prospects in Vilen and Misyul, both are mobile defensive first defensemen with good size and experience in adult leagues.. I`m down on Cheslock. He is okay project, but Colorado drafted RD with better skating, faste, WITH puckhandling and passing vision, better positional player from better programm in more competitive league, with size and defensive oriented game too. It`s just better pick of the same(big physical RD with skating), that was made right after our pick. I`m in process of the study of our draft, but I`m really not a fan of Lenny and Cheslock picks.

Even if he will, he is more open ice scorer and not so hard forechecker(at least because of his mechanics). We are in position where we are should find more Haulas than Sharangoviches in their best shape. We have enough goal scorers in Jack, Timo, Nico and Jesper. May be Holtz will bring his touch. But now team should develop\sign\trade more good hard working players. Toffoli can score and can work on the short distance too. If things will go in the right direction, we can sign him, if not - its not. We have Holtz, Gritsyuk and Filmon on the wings in the prospect pool. And we should save the core of 13-86-96\28-63-19. Other are complumentary pieces.

It`s not a deep dive. It`s just a market for players like Yegor. I`m waiting late first, or second+third. Not just a third or worser pick. Just because what track record he has, how older is he etc. Trades of jeannot, newhook, lankonen, even hagel. Some were more productive and bring even more. But we can find some middle ground. I would say if it is 3rd round only or even worse than it`s a bad trade or bad negotiation situation for Fitz. Fitz isn`t in situation where he cant give him even 3 mil for two years, and if Yegor can`t make a new step, he can make a good deal with retain some salary for example and take a good compensation. I`m overthinking it now, but we just in a good situation in this trade - Yegor still young, still score 13 goals in limited role, still rfa, and we are not over the cap in the moment. If we would be over the cap, compensation would be worser.

now we can compare Newhook career with Sharangovich. I will not be surprised, if we will see this picks in the Sharangovich trade
