I'm going to refrain from further comment, seeing as we cannot have a normal discussion on the board. I suggest you do the same. At least I can thank you for giving a response worth reading, for once...I still don't agree, but I've never agreed with you.

Thanks for giving me a valid response. This is going nowhere...then again, nothing you say ever goes anywhere, eh? I mean, a logical argument from you? It's unheard of... Give me a reason why Brylin shouldn't be an allstar. If "the truth sucks", then a few of us are certainly in the dark about why YOU think Brylin doesn't deserve it. I'm not asking at all about Elias. I want to know specifically why BRYLIN hasn't played well enough in your eyes, and I want to know specifically what sort of "truth sucks".

Zamboni, shouldn't you keep this stuff to similiar threads? ...no reason to start up another one when it was already discussed to death somewhere else.

I'll ignore everything you said about Elias, KD....but Raffy and Marty the only allstars???? I'd sure as hell take Brylin over Raffy.....

Damn Mario, taking away from the other players! He's had an insane start, but I'm still a little iffy on him... There was a lot of talent considered for this month's honor - I think the race was tighter than it really looks.

dp, that was me, not Derek. I understand he's an unsung hero for a reason, but I always figured that was viewed more by the NHL than us. We know what he is capable of, we are the ones who are fortunate to see him night in and night out with the same, amazing effort. Brylin has been one of the, if not THE MVP of the Devils this season, and he deserves recognition here....at least by us.

According to TSN.ca: Allison out 10-12 weeks tsn.ca Staff 10/30/2002 (tsn.ca) - TSN has learned that Los Angeles Kings centre Jason Allison will be out 10-12 weeks with a torn medial collateral ligament and a strained anterior collateral ligament. While the torn MCL require surgery, the ACL will not, saving the star centre from six months of recovery time. While Allison is gone for a while, it's not likely that Atlanta defenceman Andy Sutton will be suspended by the league. The NHL hockey operations department has not yet said anything definitively, but sources have told TSN that it's looking as though the league sees Sutton's hit the same as the on-ice game officials saw it. That is, an attempt by Sutton to shoulder check Allison with incidental knee-to-knee contact. Allison left the arena on crutches with his right leg immobilized in a large blue brace. Allison had not missed a game since being acquired from the Boston Bruins last season. "It's serious," Murray said after the game. "It's very serious." While none of the Kings players accused Sutton of attempting to injure Allison, Ian Laperriere fought Sutton shortly after the incident. Said Sutton: "I am sorry that Jason Allison was injured, but that is part of the game and I am a little more concerned right now about the loss." It looks like Claude is fading quickly now..it's sad, but the time has come for the old geezer, eh? Mogs has been playing well, and I'm happy for him. Too bad we can't say the same for his team though!

niedsfan, I'll continue to applaud your efforts and intentions, but you have to stop looking at things from the outside and start to really analyze things. People don't give other people a rough time for no reason. I'm starting to believe you really think we're bullying KD merely because he is a Kings fan. That is not true, and I want to say that you should know that...Hell, you SHOULD know that, but I don't think you do. I'm not going to throw your age into the mix, but sometimes I wonder if it is an issue of you not seeing the real deal, instead of something more simple. The reason we hate the Kings is because KD shoves the team down our throats, and makes the team seem all powerful and all mighty. There are fans on this board of other teams - and we always let them speak their mind freely about their team and whanot. We have quite a few Stars fans here cheering on Langenbrunner and Nieuwendyk - they still love the Stars. Do we deprive them of that? Hell no! The reason why? They realize ths is a New Jersey Devils board, and they keep their posts about our team respectable..they keep their posts about their OWN team respectable as well. They don't shove the team down our throats. Why can't KD do that same? If these people have grown to love the Devils as well and in fact be a two team fan, then why can't KD do the same and not shove a certain team down our throat? Why can't KD show an ounce of respect for the Devils, or the fans themselves? He doesn't get ripped on for no reason at all. He does it to himself. You're looking at it like this - the entire board against one. You're neglecting to realize that it's really one against the entire board. This kid doesn't back up his arguements with valid responses, he picks fights, and he has not said a single positive thing about this team in ages....Yet....he speaks so highly of the Kings? That's not fair to us, and it's not fair to the team. I've asked him for this Kings board link many times for a reason - the reason is that I really don't believe there IS a Kings board that he posts at. A few months ago, KD stated to the board (more specifically, me) that he posts at a Kings board, and he does the same thing to his Kings there as he does to the Devils here - he treats them negatively, with a horrid outlook on the team. He said that he loves these two teams so much that he only finds it neccessarry to rag on them at any chance possible, because he wants them to be perfect. I have yet to see this Kings board, and I have yet to believe that KD treats the Kings like garbage anywhere. KD needs to learn respect. He also needs to learn how to keep his mouth shut at the right times, and he needs to learn how to see positive in every negative situation..How can you live life in general if you're being so negative about it? It doesn't work that way...

Seeing this through KD's eyes, I can identify EXACTLY what the problem is - The New Jersey Devils AREN'T the Los Angeles Kings....

Niedermayer is playing like he wants to be traded...I mean, wtf? He's nonexistant...I do agree though, when the PP isn't there, his numbers are going to drastically go down.. I agree - chop off Nieds' ice time and add it to Raffy's. Dano should not be accounting for half of our D's goals...*sigh* Then again, we only have 2 goals from the D. Whitey has been playing very well though.... T-Vo should get some more ice time, he's playing well, and just getting better with each game. It'll come with time. Stevens...too much PP time (WHY IS HE ON THE PP TO BEGIN WITH?!?!?), making some mistakes at wrong times. Otherwise, he hasn't been too bad lately.

That's a tough loss for the Kings. They have Palffy coming back, so at least it's not a worst case scenario - of course, losing a top player like that for an extended period of time really IS a bad scenario in itself. Hope the damage isn't as bad as anticipated, and I hope Allison can get back in the game soon.
