1985. Followed hockey since late '70's, had partial season tix to Flyer games, the 'Halo' ring. Apparently I saw some GREAT teams come into the Spectrum (though I didn't really know it at the time). Rooted for the Isles during their streak. Kept an eye on the Devs their first couple of seasons. Went to my first Devs game in '85 and knew I was die hard during the whole run at the end of the regular season in '87 riding Burke's back (and Sauve....remember that tie in Buffalo!) till the end culminating in Johnny Mac's great goal...... ...............Die hard ever since. We shoulda beat Boston that year!!

The Devs signed Schwab because he proved last year that he can play, and play well. He should play every 4th or 5th game, IMO, no matter the opponent. Marty hates sitting I know, but do we need Marty to play 70/72 games in a year pre playoffs? Start 64 games and be there for the tourney.

Maybe he's got the injury that curtailed Bo Jackson. If anyone remembers, Bo was tackled routinely, but it caused a ripple effect resulting in some sort of restricted blood flow to the bones, ligaments, ect., Basically caused a degeneration of the whole hip. Rat.
