MaddDog Posted October 20, 2002 Share Posted October 20, 2002 As for Friesen...I am giving him and other new players at least 15 games before I short circuit...same goes for Burns...right now it is a game of mix and match until the right combo is found...some players are trying so much to make an impression that they are over dewing it, hesitating or hogging the puck...in any event it ends up an error Dew, I agree with this, that they seem to be maybe 'thinking' too much on the ice instead of reacting without overdoing it. The powerplay comes to mind - why don't they just keep it simple for now? Or do what the Canes did - shoot, have guy go to net, that sort of thing. Not 2000 passes to nowhere. I'm also not going to start bellowing "Trade Nied/Tvo/Fries/Elias/Marty" like it seems certain people are doing on the board. It's FOUR friggin' games, people!!!! If we have just as putrid a pp in a month or two, and no one is scoring, then fine, whine.... but it makes no sense to cry about it so soon.
